What ever became of Eddie? I remember growing up, early '80's, he seemed to be one of the top 80cc riders, then sort of disappeared.

Paul Dennis did burn out and just walked away.
Wrong on 2 points, I never raced FACTORY HONDA minibike team, Yamaha only and last name is not Knight it is Kight. Correct on the HONDA PRO SUPPORT ride as they supplied bikes, tuner, boxvan and expenses but I crashed first race of the year and the scarred tissue on my brain became to extreme for Drs to ever allow me to race again. this after I tried getting bak into it but barely bumped my head and was in ICU for 2 day...….

Danny Nelson passed from an auto accident not that long after turning Pro on big bikes. Early-mid '90s.

Damn- that is a helluva piece of mini moto history. I'm glad to hear you're alive today to tell the tale!
Possibly there were so many good 80 riders at time because minis were really advancing quickly in technology. I had an '80 RM80 with dual rear shocks and air cooled engine, but the next few years were light speed development.

Didn’t you just buy a bike from Rob Healy last year ? I’m still good friends with Rob and John Whelchel and thought i remember him saying you bought a bike from him. It had been awhile since I’d heard your name. I grew up with Bobby Moore, Mouse McCoy in Santa Clarita/ Canyon Country. Still real good friends with Bobby and also friends/ business partners with John Hemme. (guys you know...)
Ronnie Densford grew up on my street, Willy Surratt next Street over from ours... small world.

Dude, it was 83, sorry I got the details wrong.

I just remember being in that practice session seeing you on the ground for a few laps.

If coach would have just put that "Slippy" guy in the 4th quarter we would have been State Champs. No doubt... No doubt in my mind!!

Long time lurker first time poster.

Saw Paul Denis' name mentioned on one of the topics. I raced minicycles round the same time as he did and he was my favourate rider.

Are there any interviews with Paul floating around? I know he disappeared from the sport rather soon into his career.

Thanks
