The hell it won't. New graphics alone are good for about 3 seconds a lap on my current bike. When my gear matches my graphics, that's good for a few more seconds. Imagine how fast I'd be on a bike as trick as the Factory Edition? I might have to move up a class.

So they basically just copied Honda's business model?
Take a 2019 model, add some bling to it and tweak the motor?

Haha what? KTM has done this since 2012!

And like always, the big upgrades are coming every 3 years (2012, 2015, 2018). The FE bikes between those years have only small changes like the Akra slip-on, updated suspension settings, small changes to the engine like this year etc.

Remember when people used to be excited for the FEs? Seems like the opposite seems to be true these days.

Maybe the 19s didn't offer enough over the 18s? Even if KTM fell from the top of most shootouts, you're still getting one of the most technology advanced, lightest, more powerful bikes around. And that is universal across their whole model line.

Or maybe what's offered out of Japan is inching closer? If Honda/Yamaha and Kawi could remove 10lbs off each bike and still be less expensive (in my parts a KTM will command over $1000 more then anything from Japan) it would probably really put a dent in KTM sales...

I am one of those ones who get excited over FE's. But yeah, I get last year was a new bike and all but they really did very little this year. I think they could have at least overhauled the look of the bike a bit more with maybe all orange or go back to orange and black. Just something. it literally looks nearly identical other than a bit more orange than white.

I think people will continue to be "disappointed" until they put a spring fork on the FE.

They might sell anyway of course but to pay premium for something that has air fork today is just outdated.

I do not hear anyone bitching in here? Just some general banter, nothing out of the ordinary. Then there is you. Casually being a condescending troll....and not even a very good one at that. I believe all the butthurt is coming from your direction...

I am not a big fan of either special edition this year. They need to spice them up a bit more for the $$ they are asking.

HAHA, no actually I could care less, its just a observation I have had over the last few years in person and online with a lot of guys that are die hard KTM guys.

But they all make fun of me for whatever I ride and I just laugh about it anyway, but I am extremely sarcastic ( that whole post above was me just being a smartass mostly ) and most people are not so sometimes that pisses people off which is funny too me at least lol.

Honestly I would actually like to have one for a entire year and see what would happen durability wise mostly, but I am not buying one with my money so I guess unless I become a test rider that will never happen.

KTMs are damn good bikes, you pay more for a slightly lighter weight and better quality stuff like hydro clutch, hubs, levers, etc. Interesting that the new Honda brakes are getting rave reviews, they used to be the best before KTM put their beasts on...

For the people asking for pricing. It's the same as all the years 1k more than the stock 19 bike.

In short words, it's worth it if you are buying a 19 KTM or Husky.

I dig the look of the 19.5 but I'll always have a soft spot for the first FE. Maybe it's because it was a new thing back then or maybe I just dig the pumpkin orange/black combo on the factory bikes. I'm glad to have one still.

Ahh. The jealousy and envy is thick in here. Like KTM or not, the FE is a fantastic bike. And for those of us who like to trick out our bikes. With OUR money. That WE earn. The extra $1,000 or so over the standard model is a bargain. Anodized Wheelset. Titanium Akropovic silencer. KTM's own version of the X-trig ROC clamps. Exclusive graphics. Chain. Sprocket. Holeshot device. Disc guard. You couldn't touch that on the aftermarket for $1,000. All the bikes are great at this point. From the bargain platform like the Suzuki that you can personalize as economically as you choose. To the extravagance of the Honda WE, Husky RE and KTM FE. We live in good times. You buy what you want. And I buy what I want. It would be pretty boring out there if everybody rode a blue bike. Or red bike. Or green bike.......ENJOY.

They did on the Husky so it’s possible.
