We got royally screwed on this one. Feld is a bunch of money hungry criminals.

I wonder if you'll be able to start watching the stream from the beginning, say, an hour after the stream started. It would suck if you had to wait until the entire show was over and then archived to watch from the beginning.
That's what I'm trying to find out as well.

I don't think so, I always had to wait until the live show was over to start at the beginning.

So if I logged in while a moto was going live , I could watch the previous moto but could not back up the live stream.

Same goes for the MXGP TV too.

That's a bummer. Sometimes I don't get in till a little later so I DVR it. Still might have to be what I do if I can't come home and restart it during the event

Signed up for the MX/SX package.
Will rely on my VPN, to be “in the US”.

Does that work? I thought maybe it wouldn't even allow me to pay as I have Canadian cards.

I'm guessing they would of made SX available for everyone but Feld/SupercrossLive Said they wanted keep the international streaming package for themselves to make money out of us.
Or maybe, the SupercrossLive deal was already in place, and instead of screwing people out of their $119, Feld/NBC decided to go US only for the Gold app this year, and next year open it up world wide. But I guess that doesn't fit with the greedy corporate bastard narrative very well...

I'm curious what the Gold app is going to do during commercials, tough. Hopefully, for $75, there's going to be some exclusive content that NBCSN viewers don't get.

Talk about regressing with this tv package...
I'll buy the package since I already pay for the outdoors portion but what a loss we can't get live coverage of every race on tv without paying extra for the app subscription.
I wouldn't be surprised if supercross in the future turns to all races tape delayed and live races only available if you pay extra per an app. This is a niche sport not designed to appeal to the masses. I'll pay either way to get my live fix....

So we go from Fox Sports where every race was live to:

8 tape delays
2 tape delays at 11pm on the east coast
1 tape delay starting at midnight on the east cost
1 tape delay not being shown till the next day

This is GROUND BREAKING. Really going to get more eyes on the sport this way, especially those on the east coast having the mains at 3AM.

And for those saying "just by the Gold package." First, some people don't have availability to stream TV in HD due to providers only giving so much bandwidth. Second, I already pay for Direct TV, so why should I pay extra for something that was shown live every weekend on Fox Sports? Third, the casual fans won't even consider paying extra money to watch supercross. So try to convince me how this is good for the sport.

This is the beginning of the end for supercross.

I use PIA VPN. Seems good, easy.

It worked for the Outdoors last year.
Couldn’t get the VPN on Apple TV (I’m not that smart)
But could watch it on the iPad, and often “screen mirror” on Apple TV for the “big screen”.

Paid with an Australian Visa card, using Australian zip code. (Post code here), while “in US”, virtually.

- which race starts at midnight on the east coast?

- You should pay extra if the delays are too long for you.

- Casual fans don't need to spend extra money, they can watch on delay; and probably not even realize it's delayed.

What NBC is saying is pay extra for the gold pass or don't watch it live.

Indy coverage starts at midnight on the east coast.

We are almost in 2019 buddy. If the race happens Saturday night and the race isn't aired until the next day or 3+ hours later like Glendale, Nashville, Denver, and Vegas, the damn finale, you're most likely going to hear who won via social media or avoid it all together. So you say, just avoid social media. But that's not the point here. We went backwards with this. That's the point I'm making, and you can't say we aren't.

Weege's thoughts from this weeks Racerhead:

"I have to wonder if the timing of this deal might have impacted the TV time—it’s pretty darned late to put a 17-week schedule together, and NBCSN probably had stuff in the place of some of the supercross time slots already. Most of the non-live airings are only delayed an hour or two, which makes me think the network had already committed something to those time slots before the supercross deal was done. This is a multi-year deal, so let’s hope it improves for next season."

But again, I guess that doesn't fit with the greedy corporate narrative too many people believe in...

According to the press release, Indy airs at 11pm on the east coast. Las Vegas airs live.

If that's the case maybe Feld shouldn't have advertised and offered a full year streaming service three months ago knowing full well there was good potential of going to NBC (this has been rumoured for months now) who offers a subscription streaming service for most if not all of their content. But I guess that doesn't fit very well with the people will bitch about anything narrative..

So..... I have a couple A1 tickets that cost a small fortune, my thoughts are to sell the tickets and purchase the NBC Gold package? I'll be able to watch ALL the races and qualifiers Smile

Seems like a fair trade off.

I do not quite get it. I cut the cord years and years ago and barely watch TV. Do you need a do have a TV provider AND this NBCSN app to watch the races Or, can I pay the $75 and just be able to stream the racing.

Yup... thats what have too. You can stream from your iPhone to the Apple TV which works great most of the time. Had an issue during the MXoN and I almost lost my shit.

So that is why I went overboard and directly connected a PC to my TV. I am sure there are a bunch of ways to do it. To me though a PC can handle MXGP-TV and NBC Sports Gold without any BS.
Have had my PC hooked up in the living room for years. Best way to go, no doubt.

You just pay $75 and watch racing. I never watch TV. This is awesome. And to bundle it with outdoors and save $30... perfect.

Three start at 11pm ET. A2, Indy, and Nashville. That means it's not over til 2am. Five start at 10pm ET. So yea allot of people care about the tape delay and start times.

The outdoors archive each moto and they are available pretty quickly. With SX, if it is all one program, it won't be available until after the show is over.

No TV provider required. The app can be used on your phone or tablet, you can just to the website on any computer, OR you can have Apple TV or Amazon Fire TV or others that can house the app and display on your TV. Basically, you can watch it on almost anything that plays video. How anyone is complaining about this is a mystery to me.....even at the $129 international rate it's a fantastic price.

Everyone be sure to TURN OFF AUTO RENEW for your Moto subscription if you by the SX&MX pass, you know some people are gonna get burned on that.

The mystery to you is not all people live where they have fast enough internet speeds to stream and phone service is sketchy, but cable they have.

So If you have cable, watch it on NBCSN with the subscription you already have.

Rumors aren’t signed contracts. Maybe Supercross Live was plan b, in case the NBC deal fell through.
