I removed the jutter spring and replaced it with a standard fiber. I personally didn’t like the feel and went back to the jutter spring.

google 2019 kx450 owners manual

It will open a full service manual online that is really user friendly to navigate.

I'm seeing the owner's manual but not the shop manual. My local dealer explained that they print them on demand with an order.

I got my shop manual about a month ago. Took a few weeks to come in. It is the thickest dirt bike shop manual I've ever seen and even goes into detail on how to rebuild the starter motor internals lol.

Does anyone know if the clutch from the previous generation (16-18) would fit? Almost no parts for the 19 available over here yet...

Put 10 hours on it now, and love it! Great bike, handles like a dream, corners almost like my previous suzuki!
However, the forks are too soft for my liking (added about 20ml of oil each leg and made it a bit better) and the left leg already looses a bit of oil.
Unfortunately the chain roller disintegrated after 4 rides, just like it has always been on the kawis...Silly

Go up a rate on the fork spring.

Yes, 2016+ clutch drops right ih but make sure you switch the hub gear over. That is the only difference between the two generations.

I wonder if it has something to do with how tight/loose people run their chains? I have over 40 hrs on mine and the stock roller is still holding up still. Bearing is getting crunchy so I'm going order a backup just in case lol.

Thanks for the quick replies!

Well i dont have a 2016 hub, so im gonna wait until a 2019 clutch is available. Mine is still good, just wanted a spare clutch just in case.

I always adjust the chain after every ride, probably it is too tight when the chain and sprockets are full of dirt. Gonna loosen it up a bit next time i ride.

Whats your thoughts on the clutch? Also how do you like the exhaust?

2019 KX450 Control ISSUES

So I ordered protaper 1 1/8 bar mounts for the bike, they use a larger nut making it extremely difficult to install. Also the stud that the bar mounts use are way longer than stock. They actually hit the electrical bracket on the left side of the frame they are so long. I would avoid these for this bike.

Also, I ordered a set of Renthal Twinwall bars (997 bend). Just a heads up, the controls did not fit in the space provided. I managed to get them all on with the holeshot button directly ontop of the rubber seal of the bar, this was as far to the right as I could put it. The clutch was all the way to the right as well, but this still put the lever in a bad spot to be pulled.

I also installed the ODI lock on grips to the new bars.. Turns out the CAM used by ODI has a smaller diameter and is narrower than the stock kawii throttle tube. This caused slightly different pull (open/close) and it added a ton of side to side play within the throttle housing unit.

Gonna switch back to stock stuff for now until I can do a little more research. Might end up going with the Ride eng. bar mounts and mika or tag bars.

Didn't get to ride last weekend, Saturday will be the first ride with it. Exhaust makes a big difference as well as looks and sounds good.

I also have odi (emig) lock on grips on my kawi and indeed, the one cam that fits is too narrow. While it does not bother me much when riding, odi should probably make a cam that fits right.

It's loud compared to stock for sure. I like it idk haha. Your bike looks sweet. I noticed the chain guide bolt doesn't line up? Lightspeed lists the old one to fit but I compared my 16 stock one and saw they're different.

I've got an RMZ body thats junk showing up today that i'm going to use to mock up. I have a hunch that due to the reservoir setup / HSC adjuster setup on the RMZ shock it'll clear the frame tab. I tried to mount my complete 18 and older showa A kit shock to the 19 (I Know its longer, was going to deal with that later), but it just slightly interferes at the upper mount with the crossover from the body to the reservoir due to the oversized HSC adjuster in the kit shock. I know PC originally filed the mount tab down a hair to make it fit (its not in a heavily loaded section at all of the mount tab), but they have decided to just shove kit stuff into production 19 bodies for the time being. I Should have an answer tonight if an RMZ body will work or not.

I just installed a set of ride engineering 21.5mm clamps last night on my 19. I had a set on my 16 with a kit spring forks and used a pair of mika metals mounts because I bent the stock posts in a get off. They were a lot longer as you described. I actually installed the stock bar mounts in the ride clamps last night as I could tell the mika metals ones would be way to long. You could always just shorten the threaded portion?

I could chop them down but they were such a pain to get on because of the larger nut; so much that when I take them off, they are gonna be staying off
