My history is a little limited, but were they as good as Short, Tedesco, Millsaps and that one guy?

Nicknames that are totally identified with our sport. Hurricane, Magoo, O'show, Dogger. David Bailey, did he have one?

We ride Honda's, cuz red is our favorite color.
But, those guys are also pretty cool.

Only two of those guys won championships on Hondas. My recollection of the Dream Team was '86 with Johnson, Bailey, and O'mara. Still, those works bikes were "dreamy" in and of themselves.

I count 3
Lechein - 85 125MX
O'Mara - 84 SX
Bailey also won a few AMA titles for American Honda

And Magoo won a USGP, MXDN and Superbikers

Hannah came close to a 250 MX title but had an injury.

Hannah never won a title with Honda but he won 7 AMA titles with Yamaha. Hannah was on fire when he signed with Honda in 83, untill he broke his wrist.

How many bikes have Honda sold because of these guys?

You could replace that whole team with one guy.

do riders really have an impact on sales?

I thought that was a myth.

I think he means for that year team, which was 84. Bailey 500 champ, O'mara supercross champ.

Wasn't the Supercross champ of 1984 kind of gray area that year ? I kinda remember it being split that year between AMA and Pace. Or something like that.

Hannah was not on fire his last two years on the Yamaha team in '81-'82. He had a few good moto's here and there possibly, but the Yamaha's sucked in those years and Howerton was the one with the fire.
