Also, Loved my 91 CR 125 until I would have to clean the HPP valves.

No, i raced snocross a couple years and 165 was unavailable so I went with 651. Been using that number since 2002.

Man you know what tarz......those years of RM were really a sweet looking machine. Only " little " funky thing on them , was that dark purple shroud.....but then again , I look back at them now , and think it kinda looked good. Sexy machine for sure!

How 90s are these? Remember getting picture proofs in the mail from the races? Never bought any but saved a few of the proofs. Man if I could order them today I’d buy them all.

Hell yes. Started in 125 Beginner in '99 at 15. This was my first win and I've been chasing that feeling ever since.

'96 YZ125 which I loved. Fox gear that looks as good as anything today!

It was a special time in the sport, everything good said about the era is true. Very happy I got to be part of it.

89 CR125 from 90 to 92. 93 CR125 to 94 then a couple of KX250's and then a couple of RM250's to 99 when the racing numbers came off for good.

Very close to Dan for years. Here’s a few old school 90s 125 pics of him and one of me leading him in ‘00 for every lap except the one that counted. I was proud of that ride as he had a 2 digit national number in 99.

Unfortunately I have no more photos. I started in 84 on an Italjet at 4 years old for fun in the garden. I started seriously in 1991 on a KX 125 85 (I was a good young soccer player before) i was 11 years old. Then I had a CR125 91, CR250 93, CR125 95, KX 125 96, RM 250 97, YZ 250 99/2000, RM 250 2003, YZ 250 2005, HVA 125 08 and finally, my last bike, CRF 450 2010. I would like to ride one last time on a KX 450 19.

X2....... something about 2 strokes from the 90's that still give me a wood to this day. Those bikes are cool, sexy, and interesting. I own both 2 and 4 stroke dirt bikes. I really wish the close minded 4 stroke guys could experience what moto use to be. They just don't understand that everyone use to have a bike. At least is seemed that way to me. Way more people raced, and way more people spectated at the race just to bbq and drink. It was a big party that so happen to involve dirt bikes. Our 4 stroke beloved don't realise that the more bikes sold benefits everyone.
More bikes sold ='s more tracks, more races, more hanging out bbq'ing at the track, more moto people to meet, more moto talk, more moto shit talk, and last but not least more moto life!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woohoo Evil Cheerful Woohoo Evil Cheerful

Suzuki was great in the 90s. Besides the awesome contingency they had really cool things going on like the RM Cup (rode the first one in ‘95). They had the MX Good Scholar Program where kids that raced RMs and maintained 3.0 grade averages got $500 savings bonds each year. They had trackside support and I was lucky to have a fantastic local dealer heavy into racing.

Someone always comes along and says they were garbage and the Honda 125 or later 90s YZ was the only way to go. But I never felt they were any better than my RMs. The RM 125 was always a great race bike each year in the 90s.

Suzuki really was awesome with all the incentives they had. Got several of the scholarships, gear bags, tony d schools, and more swag every year with new RM80’s. Raced the RM cup twice. 1996 Branson Missouri, 1997 cooperland Oklahoma. Gene Stull and Brandon Jesseman were the two main Suzuki kids from back then in my class. Travis grew so fast he was off 80’s quick by like 12 or 13

Raced Carlsbad, Perris, and Barona in 1990s on RM125s. Rode hondas in the 80s but switched to Suzukis in the 90s. Not sure why I switched (maybe the funky graphics and seat covers), but they worked great.

Never owned one, only 250s and a 500, but did ride and race my youngest brothers KX125 a few times in 94/95. They were a lot of fun. Definitely good times.
