Check the connectors on the WiFi devise. Also The short pigtail between the wifi & wire loom for corrosion. It's under the left side panel at the rear.

This assumes someone did not remove the wifi box. Mine always picks up signal 1 or 2 taps of the starter.

I assume wifi is enabled on your phone. Also I assume you got the serial number off wifi & typed it in correctly.

I am sure u are probably past this point but when I pick us my bike the wifi did not work either . The wifi control unit doesn't come in the bike from factory, the dealer mast actually installed one before the sale of the bike. My dealer forgot to put one in , so I went back and they give me one and I put it in and everything was ok.
Also some production numbers had problems with the units, guy at the track had problems so Yamaha give him new one and that was it.

Welp, that's gonna be the problem right there, CCU is missing. Now I get to go on a scavenger hunt through the original owner to try to scare one up. Lame.

Has anybody tried the tall seat?

Except for preventing situations where riders could feel the fuel tank when sitting, I think the taller seat would make it easier to move upfront and remove the couch feeling.

I just put a seat concepts tall seat on mine and it’s amazing. Makes the bike feel so much better for a taller guy.

I assume it allows you to sit more forward in turns?

Yeah, plus it’s not as much up and down as it was before ? it just gave the bike a better overall feel

Yep! Don’t think they’ve added them to their site yet. Think I may have gotten the first complete seat they did for the new 450. the foam they use is amazing. I’ve used the stock one and Guts Phantom foams and this one is the best by far.

Love that verse! Hopefully I’ll see you out at the track one of these days. And congrats on the new new bike!

Finally got a chance to ride mine. I had a 2017 FC450 that I had 4 hrs on that I just couldn't come to terms(coming off an RMZ450)so I got rid of it and picked up this 2018 YZ450 from a buddy that owns a Yamaha shop. I was a little skeptical because the last Yamaha I had ridden was a 2016 and quite frankly it was terrible. I immediately felt comfortable on it, renminded me a lot of my RMZ, except for the loud airbox noise. I can't wait to put a little more time on it and get it completely dialed.

Big shout out to Austin Edwards at MGX Unlimited, he always knocks it out of the park with the graphics!

Just got this left over 2018 from Chaparral last week. Keeping it simple and just got hand guards and Factory Effex background/numbers.

Any mods on these that you'd consider "must have"? The DrD kit and a link on the 2010 made that bike vastly better, what's the story on these bikes?
