Anyone have the statistics of Monster Jam? I'd be interested to see the attendance vs. SX. Same for TV viewership.

Lol. Rainbow never ceases to disappoint... In disappointing.

Meh.

Well, not my cup of tea at all...and that's putting it mildly as I think it is, well.... Let's just take the fifth.

But anyway, I hope it is profitable and enjoyable for them.

It'll probably sell better than the MX games to be honest with less backlash.

Less backlash for sure. MvA series been going downhill for a while

They should just brush up todays graphics back into the REFLEX game. Done deal and everyone will be happy. OR someone please make a deal with MX Simulator for consoles but still have free downloadable content. MX SIM is the ONLY moto game I've owned and keep adding things to for 8 or 9 years now! No other game out there lasts that long with improvements every year. They all come out with a new one and everything is different and worse.

I'd say it will die if Milestone keeps releasing the same games over and over again with minor updates. Not saying Rainbow can do a better job but I sure as hell am not falling for Milestones scams anymore.

This has been mentioned before in this thread, but I would totally buy a remastered version of reflex. I know they can’t re-do the physics because of some issue with coding or something (IIRC) but I would totally play it.

There's potentially a positive out of this outcome.

Having another franchise could mean they'll have to grow their team meaning more people will potentially work on the MX vs ATV franchise which is a good thing.

Or it could mean the team will focus on one project at a time which means it'll take even longer in between each MX vs ATV title release. Not a bad thing but not a great thing.

As long as they don't split the current team they have in half in order to work on both titles I think it'll be okay.

You can't fault them for trying to make more money. It is a business after all.

Correct. Business is business. Lord knows I've recorded many drum tracks I didn't care for all because it is business.

I guess it's just disappointing that for a team so touted for their moto history that what looks like will be their first officially licensed game has nothing to do with moto.

But hey. It's not for me or anyone here. Even if I disagree with a lot of their decisions, the Rainbow crew are good people. I wish them prosperity.

Any of us who thought it might be an official National's game should have our heads checked
anyway. We should know better.

I’m kind of relieved. I think milestone just need time, take a break from releasing games and put some work in.

Wow, this is quite the statement. I personally greatly prefer MXGP Pro these days. I have All-Out, just couldn't get into the bike handling, the floaty air physics, the terrible frame rates, the cartoony looking graphics, or the weird outdoor tracks. This post makes me think you haven't put much time into MXGP Pro. Have you completed the training and upgraded your bikes? Tires, suspension, exhaust, and tuning all drastically change the performance of the bikes.

The two games couldn't be more different as far as control, you really have to take proper lines in GP Pro to get around corners well. So are "in-air" physics all you care about in a moto game? If so, other than better looking whips, what do you like about All Out physics over MXGP?

I was slow to come around to the MXGP series, bought all the previous games and never liked them much, but they made big strides with MES and MXGP Pro, I was almost immediately hooked on Pro, staying up too late to play it lately!

So how am I out of my fuckin' mind again?

You consider the strides they have made from MXGP 1 all the way through MXGP Pro(the current pinnacle of moto games, imo) scamming? Have you played MXGP Pro at all? This reeks of a fanboy post in which loyalty trumps facts.

It blows my mind how people don't like the newest offering from Milestone, when it is so obviously the superior moto game on the market right now. It's almost like the US vs Europe debate spilled over into the moto gaming world.

I don't think you're out of your mind since we all have different opinions, but I prefer All Out physics over anything from Milestone because it gives you the freedom to ride with style. The skill gap to master the physics is pretty big and so you can tell who's a beginner and who's not. It isn't all about "whips", but if you watch any pro race or even decent rider, every little bump or jump they are manipulating the bike to scrub, whip, setup for a corner, wheelie, etc. I don't get the same sensation doing this with any of Milestones games but do with All Out. Milestone always makes me feel locked in and forces me to ride/play a certain way.

I'll never understand Rainbow Studios fascination with monster trucks, buggies, ATV's, etc.

If they ever focused on purely on moto (like Milestone) I think they could produce a quality MX game.

I'd be willing to bet that Peely hasn't even purchased MXGP Pro. I haven't yet.

i learned my lesson after MES

they won't be getting any more of my money

and yeah, if you're calling Milestone's physics good, then you are out of your mind.

Requires throttle control and timing, cant whip = trash

WFO at all time, pre-load to jump 500 ft rhythm sections, whips and scrubs are possible = OMG so realistic!!!!! Perfect physics!!!

Who exactly am a fanboy of and loyal to? Considering the only MX/SX games I've bought since MX vs ATV Alive came out have been games made by Milestone I can only assume that's where my presumed loyalties lie. No I have not played MXGP Pro, I learned my lesson after the first three renditions of MXGP and MES. You're probably right that scamming isn't the right word as I made the decision to buy the games all by myself but it just seems to me that Milestone is more concerned with getting a game out on a yearly basis despite quality than actually taking time and improving their game. I mean people are STILL complaining about the wonky physics which has been the number one complaint since the first MXGP and from what I can tell they haven't done that much to make them better in MXGP Pro.

Just my opinion, from your past couple posts in this thread it seems like you're the only one who is a fanboy here.

I would say we need to get back on subject but honestly I have no desire to talk about a Monster Trucks game so carry on, fellas. ?

It's not the enduro game I'd like but oersonally I'm looking forward to Dakar 18. The navigation, roadbook and protecting your bike are cool aspects I've personally not seen in an Offroad game. I just hope it has some slower, more technical aspects and difficult terrain as well for the bikes.

But anyway...

Yeah I don’t understand how games now don’t allow you to land on someone but the games made pre-2004 do. That doesn’t make sense to me. MX Unleashed with updates graphics and track deterioration would be incredible.

It will probably sell more than All Out, realistically.
