Ya arsehole ya dead to me! haha nah you're alright
Could've maybe just asked why I don't use right stick before going all internet though haha
but yeah like I said it's frustrating that I could play all the others decent but this one I struggle to make any turns consistently.. It's a strange world to be in where you can (could) ride an actual bike better than you can in a game haha

My ideal game is easy to play but hard to win

That really looks and sounds better than anything I have seen. Track seems narrow and bike doesnt follow ruts or braking bumps but If i had time I would try for sure.

I know Southwick was extremely rough but that is one aspect I think both companies completely miss the boat on. The tracks aren't nearly rough enough. We need breaking bumps,, acceleration bumps and just bumps and rough terrain in general. The tracks are way too highway like in all the old MXGP games and in All Out, the All Out's terrain deformation is better. Their track design is way too wide open and simple, though.

Hoping Pro offers a tougher terrain. I'll get it Tuesday but I think both companies need to do a better job of replicating how rough an outdoor track actually is.

I know the whole point is to replicate a series but other then in real life where your battling the elements yourself the GP tracks don't have a lot going on. Yes it should be rougher in the game but overall trying to replicate these tracks has held milestone back from having an even better game.

That was my rant after the first video came out. I believe its a gigantic part of MX, to leave it out or really just water it down is disappointing. IT being rough tracks and real ruts. I don't think some of the more arcade leaning games would benefit, but MXGP sure would, its what this game is missing, well and some improved air physics.

I just don't understand. Just make the track rough from the start.. Or just make two maps, one smooth one rough with lines and ruts. As the race goes one drops down the other rises/blends in. Seems like that would free up some processing power too, because if the track deformation doesn't provide a line that is useable then whats the point?

the outdoor tracks are far from highways in All out. there’s bumps and stuff the entire track.

There is a decent amount of bumps and rough terrain in All Out but the simple track designs and super wide scale hurt it. Plus it's not nearly as rough as it should be, in my opinion. Play RedRider's Unadilla replica on Reflex on PC. That is more what I am talking about.

All Out has good terrain but everything is too fast. Too wide open. In real Outdoor tracks you really have to slow way down for certain rough sections or else you will go down. I don't find that in All Out and not really alot in the Milestone games, though I do find throttle control and track awareness much more important in MXGP. The track is so wide in MVA games that it just doesn't seem as necessary to plan ahead.

Just my opinion, though.

Leon, Valkenswaard, Lommel, and one other are a step in the right direction. Definitely not a highway (in most parts)

See this is my theory on easy to play but hard to win.. (Think madskills)
I know I've got vested interest in this haha
I reckon if they put less time in worrying about the controls and more time into the tracks it'd be a better game..
But that said I've never been able to 'ride' these games to their potential so I'm prob missing how cool it is to use both sticks railing turns and shit

Ya, I was thinking it wouldn't take much for them to make a good speedway game

Holy shit they made it WAY to easy to crash! Anytime I start to just barely push it I crash. You can hardly lean over in a turn with it crashing or having a massive snap of oversteer.

I've got about a week into the game now. If you get the suspension settings right, you can help with the washing out. I agree though. They made it ridiculously easy to crash. Theres quite a few things they can still work on with updates hopefully. This game involves a lot more throttle control and the clutch still slows you down.

I dunno if you guys are onto it or not but if you do the training sessions it gives your rider in career more skills.. I went from being ffffffffarken ffffrustrated to having way more fun..

I also swallowed my pride and bailed on the Extreme career, started a Standard put my shit on semi-pro and hard diff not realistic and am enjoying it way more! Havin full battles for podiums and shit.. It's good stuff!
I'll work back up to realistic which I guess I'd rather way more than dominating from the start.

There is a learning curve for sure, i'm loving it. Can't just blast a corner pinned. I was up till 3am last night playing...first impression 8.9/10 and i'm sure my score will go up once I get better bikes and gear Smile

So, is this game worth getting? I played MXGP2 for one season and completed MESX, although I got kinda annoyed with all the bugs that game holds. Are the loading times long like in MESX? Different, better physics than previous instalments? I'm on the fence really, but I'm hooked on F1 2017 and don't want to buy a game just to collect dust if it disappoints.

Well, I feel late to the party but just picked up my copy from Gamestop. Was ready to play....and, of course there is an Xbox One X update which with my ultra slow tethering internet will take forever. It's frustrating you can't just buy a game and play it without being connected to the internet. A problem most don't have, I realize, but still some do.

Sigh.

So, who knows how long this will take. Looking forward to playing it though. I've played MESX a ton, played All Out a good deal but pretty much retired All Out as it kinda sucks for single player. So, looking forward to playing Pro.

You will appreciate the difficulty level of the AI in Pro if you've been used to All Out. I've been playing all out for 2 months straight without picking up MES and was caught off guard lol

I honestly haven't played All Out in over a month. I gave it a good shot and I like a lot of it but until they get a single player mode that actually makes sense then I'll be out on that game/series. I'm not one of you super fast cats who destroy the AI but if the results in a series don't make sense single player then it really just loses me. I'm too used to games like 2K or The Show. I know, apples to oranges but at least Milestone gets close to that for single player realism and being logical in the AI results.

I gave up on the update after several hours. I'll take my X to a buds house this week. No Pro until then I guess. Darn.

Just played some for the first time. First impressions were not good. I’ll save time by saying they went way backwards. Then the more I played the more I understood the directions they were going, more realistic as far as the play goes, not wide open skipping across jumps and landing in turns backwards and shooting out of them like MES.

Coming from MES that I loved the gameplay in, PRO is definitely different. So here my list of things I hate.

Scrubs are 100% useless. MES was the best milestone game as far as that goes because it legit saved you time when done correctly. These are horrible looking and I can’t stress it enough. It’s that bad lol.

The highside is really really bad to start. its almost like they do not want you to sweep a corner in a power slide, and that part is the most annoying. The ruts are there and when you think you can rail one coming out of a turn it will spin you around in a hurry with no way to save it.

The right stick is barely touched in turns. If you touch it while accelerating hold on to your bootstraps because it’s getting ugly.

The good
- is it feels way smoother when you get a good lap going. No clunky ness feeling like we were used to on the older ones. And the extreme mode is a cool twist. I think this game has potential but it most definitely needs a patch to fix scrubs and also to fix the turning, to an extent, because it doesn’t feel like you can really lay into a good rut.

6 out of 10 for me a few hours in. just hope they listen to the fans and patch it quick.

I think They have the right idea about crashing easier, but at least give us a chance to save it. A lot of the time the crashes are super inconsistent Lap to lap, and happen so fast you have no chance of saving it. That’s my biggest gripe so far.
