I play on the pc/steam. I’ve had zero problems, loads fast, really enjoyable game. Now if only there were people playing it online, I very seldom see anyone online and that sucks.

I bought it on Steam yesterday. I have a high end PC and a 34” Ultrawide monitor and the game supports the ultrwide monitor and it looks great. Runs really smooth. Having fun with it so far. Bought a CRF-450 and have been modding it. Building up my cash on way point races which I do really well in. Also been playing free ride and just playing around. I suck at Supercross races. Corners are my downfall there. Need more practice in SX.

So far having fun.

it’s only gonna get better the more you play the better the physics feel. The game is the best ever. I prefer out of any other game they or anyone else has made. For the corners try adjusting your tires and suspension to get what feels right for you. Leaning forward seems to help if you take corners tighter.

Yeah that bike is sure free in the air. That is an adjustment right there. Not use to the bike feeling so free. I need to get using that second stick down in the corners. Seems like as soon as I use it I mess up the turn.

Thanks for the tips. I will try some adjustments and make more laps.

You have to be subtle with the right stick in the corners. Once you get too aggressive with it you'll start sliding out or over-turning

Ha, that is me... I need to take it a little easier with the right stick. It will just take some time.

make sure you get used to pushing forward and backward with the right stick just as much as left and right.

They key for me is get a feel for what its like to cruise at like 1/4, 1/2 throttle and roll on the power when needed. The point I am trying to make, is slowing down to go faster is needed quite frequently. This is not your old school MVA where you squeeze the trigger 100% 24/7. MOMENTUM MOMENTUM MOMENTUM. Sometime coasting 3/4 through a turn and applying power as you exit is the way to go.

Hope this helps, welcome, wish you were on XBONE

When do you push forward holtergeist? I know you said it helps with speed. But where does it help?

Also, I just requested you yesterday on XB1.. You too Zehn. I'm not able to moto often but I'll get together with you guys when i do. I need to gain some speed.

Anybody catch Roczen slamming this game on his IG story?? Haha quote, “this might be the worst game we’ve ever played in our lives”
6/25/2018 5:08pm
Yeah I saw that and he's probably the worst I've ever seen someone play it. He should just stick to real mx he's better at that.

corners and faces of jumps. i’m pushing forward probably 50% of the time. i use first person view and pushing forward on faces of jumps sends you in a more straight trajectory, soaking up the jump a bit more then normal. i do this a lot in sx. try it in some of those awkward little sections before the finish lines. imo if you play third person and push forward on the right stick in corners, the rider movement seems a bit weird, but in third person it feels right.

Very interesting. I'll have to do some practicing with you. You can tell me if i'm doing it right. I don't use that technique at all.

from what i hear a lot of people have quite different approaches, let alone bike setup. i’ve always liked how first person view makes the game feel faster since you’re closer to the ground. they implemented the clutch perfectly in this game imo, if you let off the gas and hold the clutch in..you’ll coast, maintaining the speed you’re going. if you just let off the gas with no clutch..youlll feel the bike slowing down like with engine breaking. i use the clutch a lot but not just for the boosts. for instance one of the sand tracks has a rounded single jump sorta thing after a quick left corner right after an uphill double. if i gas it off the face it send me high, but if i lean forward, let off the gas and hold in the clutch, you can coast over it staying lower to the ground without reallly losing any speed. i do this when i don’t want to scrub. obviously i’m not always letting off the gas, it depends on the obstacle. same thing with corners, don’t use the brake as much as you can...just hold in the clutch and a lot of corners i lean forward through them with the right stick and then adjust how deep left or right i go with the stick while pushing forward based on how sharp the turn is. the sharper the turn, the less forward im able to push with the stick cause i’m turning more left or right. the less sharp the turn is, let’s say a really long left handed, ill turn left with the left stick but keep the right stick forward. don’t get me wrong tho, i’m not leaning forward in every corner lol. enough tho to say it helps at times. outdoors, i’m leaning forward and backward constantly around the track. lean back when cornering sometimes to keep the back end from jumping around on you. i do feel like the technique between first person and third person may change a bit tho, but the basics of needing to use leaning forward and back still apply. we can get a freeride going and rip some tracks. the game is all about feel and momentum tho, and what i do might not work for others. maybe someone else’s bike setup forces them to ride differently.

Bought the YZ250 last night. Not sure why. Just looked like the one in my garage too much I guess.

Anywhoozle, I swear the OEM bike tuned is better than the (Rainbow?)250. Could be the placebo effect in full force

Played some last night and some just now and i swear that something is wrong with my game now.
The bike is just like its un-tuned, slow and slides around, and understeers like hell when it doesent slide out, im seriously 1-2 seconds a lap slower than last week.
Tried moving the sliders back and forth but no differnce

do a hard restart of your console. you definitely have the latest update right? i had felt my game acting weird but that was a couple updates ago. idk man that’s weird. if it doesn’t change, reinstall it?

"if you let off the gas and hold the clutch in..you’ll coast, maintaining the speed you’re going".

I try to always maintain a basal level of throttle to combat that, even if I am just barely squeezing the trigger. Rarely clutch. engine braking rules in this game. I only use my actual brakes for emergencies.

there’s only engine braking when you let off the gas and don’t hold the clutch in. if you let off the gas and hold the clutch in, you should maintain speed. you don’t have to combat the engine braking if you just pull the clutch in. just like real life

You sound like you're awful at the game. I went back and played Reflex the other night. I was a huge fan of that game for years and years. Now it plays awfully compared to All Out

I don’t see how people don’t consider this among the best if not THE best console mx game in terms of feel. The only thing I can think of is they only played for 5 minutes or they’ve never gotten the hang of 1st person. 1st person in all out is the closest thing to MX sim imo. Btw Zehn sorry I didn’t accept your invite the other day lol sometimes I leave my game on and go do something else

i agree with the first person comment. it is very good.

and there’s no way that anyone who is good at the game hates it. anyone that downs the game, simply isn’t getting it, isn’t catching how it’s supposed to be played and is comparing it to how they remeber past games. and they surely haven’t gone back to the games they thought were so good and played them recently because if they did, they would quickly realize they aren’t as good as they remember.
