Saw this at a gas station in Virginia this weekend, I've been doing it all wrong with pickup trucks over the years, could be getting better gas mileage just using the car.

Ha ha I love it, I one bought a bike and took my car to pick it up. Seller scratched his head until I got my tools out to strip it

Too funny!! Dude definitely has his priorites in check!! 10K bike and a 1K car. Ha!

My very first bike was a 1980 RM80. After the purchase, my Dad loaded it up and brought it home in the trunk of his Oldsmobile Delta 88. Good times.

The roof is dented in from it where's the video of the crf falling off the camery that was done that way? Its going down the highway and the tiedown comed unhooked.

just have to bolt wheel chock on roof.


When I bought my last new bike in 07, the dealer looked funny when I had a $250 ranger and he slide the crate for the new 450 in the back,

Yep. Had a $250 GMC Sonoma. It picked up a new 06 Rmz450 and 08 Rmz250. I had a lot more fun than todays kids with diesel trucks and no bikes.

That's how kinda how I am right now. 2 dirt bikes, soon to be 3, and only a Passat. Would have a truck as well but insurance is insane for us younger people. Work/school is in the city so having a truck as my only vehicle would be rough. The struggle is super real, I feel this guy.

so, in about 2000 I was applying for a tech job at Deluxe Harley-Davidson and I pulled up in the parking lot in my little Nissan truck, beat to shit, quarter-million miles, and 4 different colors...with 4 mostly new bikes shoehorned in the back, practically jutting out in every direction - a 1998 CR250, a 2000 KX 250, and a couple of mid nineties CR500's.

this is how the job interview went, and I promise I'm not making this up...

Me: I was wondering if you guys we're hiring any techs.

Chuck Deluxe: Actually we are, one of our techs was just in a riding accident and might not be returning. (I was the one to eventually replace the frame on his Road Glide , where I'd found an empty six pack still in the saddle bags...so he was fired)

Me: Great, can I get an application?

he doesn't answer me...

CD: That your truck out there?

Me: Yeah.

CD: Whos bikes are all those?

Me: There all mine.

CD; Can you start next week?

Me: Sure!

CD: See ya then. And bring a helmet.

Deluxe Harley Davidson had, at the time, a 1/16th mile dirt track behind the building, and my first day of employment was me racing the boss around his track on flat track prepped XR100's. I guess that was my job interview for my first professional mechanic job.

Chuck was one of the biggest motorcycle enthusiasts I've ever met and I'm still grateful to him for giving me my start in the industry...all because we connected on that level, the love of motorcycles.
