Not just bad movies, but movies that were supposed to be "great" that actually blow goats.

I just tried, I really tried, to sit through "Australia" and had to quit about 2/3rds through. I wanted to quit about 10 minutes into it but I stayed focused and didn't give up. However, after like the 3rd climactic "ending" in a row, I just couldn't take it anymore. It kept having these climactic climaxes but it just wouldn't end.

Stupid pre-views made it seem like it was going to be "The Man From Snowy River" or "Gone With The Wind" level of quality but to me, it was more like "Indiana Jones" meets "Lion King" meets "City Slickers 3". Totally freakin lame.

Good thing I had a GREAT day at the track today or I'd be even more disappointed.

Miracle at St. Anna ..... Ughhhhh

The Way of War

Body of Lies, guess they can't all be like Blood Diamond or The Departed.

I liked Body of Lies. The worst movie I have seen of late would have to rate up there with the worst movie ever. I can't even remember the name of it but it was the new Steven Segal movie. I know Steven Segal sucks and my expectations were very low but I at least figured there would be a little action in it. Imagine Steven Segal actually trying to act and throw in a country bumpkin accent. OMG it sucked so bad. I didn't make it half way. I highly doubt that we will be seeing any more Steven Segal movies after that spectacular performance.

I heard on the radio they said Speed Racer could be the worst movie of all time. I haven't seen it yet and maybe I don't need to waste my time on it now. I agree with Australia. It was "ok" but it was sooooooooo long I just wanted it to end. I wasn't a big fan of Benjamin Buttons either.

Recently...

Taken.

Me and the wife were laughing at the last half. The cliche's of a CIA agent were pathetic, and when he chased that car down by running it really had me cracking up.

Boy in The Striped Pajamas
Most depressing movies I've ever seen. The ending is just awful.

I was really looking forward to Boy in The Striped Pajamas! Drat. That movie had the makings of a classic. I will rent it anyways.

I thought Body of Lies was OK.

I was disappointed in Zack and Miri, though.

Max Payne was pretty bad to. Although I didn't expect much from it.

Lakeview Terrace also sucked. I did expect a little more from that one.

X3 for Zack and Miri and Tropic Thunder. Both I turned off before they were finished.

Two of my favorite movies right there. The kind that I'll catch flipping channels on cable in a couple years and won't be able to turn them off.

Australia sucked ass. Watched it last night. Knew it was long, was itching to turn it off, but I hate watching half of a movie. Nicole Kidman is the most over-rated "allegedly hot" chick out there. I'm so goddamned tired of her playing the haughty aristocrat.
Speed Racer - I hate to admit that I kind of like it now. I can't recall having much more anticipation for any movie - I friggin' loved it as a kid and bought the DVD box set to watch with my 9 yr. old to prep him for the live action movie. Saw it at the theater and was HUGELY disappointed. But then we rented it cause he wanted to watch it again. It was a lot easier to digest the second time around. Not a great movie by any means, but now that I know what it is, I could watch it a couple more times with my kid. I think seeing it the first time, the suckiness was amplified by the fact that it was not at all what I expected. Rachel Bilson with a haircut would have made the perfect Trixie though. Emile Hirsch was very well cast, as was John Goodman.
Max Payne was hugely disappointing as well. If it had 10 more minutes of a naked Olga Kurylenko in it though, I'd buy it.

Max Payne was big time dissapointing. Righteous Kill was not as good as expected either.
