Just me or are they pushing the whip thing a little to much? It's cool and they are obviously trying to capitalize on MES's lack of in air physics but there's much more to a game. Almost feel like they are trying to divert attention from the fact that it really isn't drastically different from anything else they've put out the last however many years.

I think you and other's are failing to see the bigger picture. It's not really about the whips. It's to demonstrate how free the physics really are. You're not stuck with pre-animated whips/scrubs. You're free to ride the bike the way you want to ride and not limited by game's physics.

I posted a pic of the terrain deformation. Unlike MES you will be forced to change lines as the track gets beat up and to me that adds a touch of realism. I get that the game is more arcady but when you're force to search for new lines it makes it that much more challenging. In MES you see the dirt change but I have yet to be able to hit an inside rut. No matter how many laps you hit the same inside line it stays flat.

Not to mention we'll be able to make the AI as challenging as we want it to be. That's a feature we've never had in the previous games and I'm looking forward to see just how challenging it can really be.

Another cool feature is that we'll be able to tune the bikes the way we like and each bike will sound a bit different than the other's. The fact that the game picks up on the engine load shows they paid attention to details, atleast on some level.

It won't be perfect but I think it'll be their best one yet and in my opinion it'll have more re-playability than MES.

As for the graphics, sure they're not as pretty as MES but there's more to a game than pretty graphics and let's not forget this is also their first time putting out a game using the Unreal 4 engine.

I really thought with those shiny new graphics in the MES game along with tracks scaled more appropriately, that Milestone would have the game experience dialed in too. Single player was fun for 2 weeks. Milestone is good at making a nice looking mx game, but they are awful at making a gaming experience enjoyable. Fake terrain deformation, broken online, painful menu nav, and while their whip/scrub is not awful it is not fun either.

It looks like MVA is making enough changes that I may have to eat crow and get the game after all. Terrain deformation looks decent, bike control looks fun, and speed is looking slower. The graphics do look outdated to me, but I've always been behind in getting the latest graphics so Im used to it. I was expecting a bit better with all this talk about going Unreal engine and seeing what Milestone can do. I think it might have something to do with the lighting in the game.
Don't forget that THQ Nordic/Rainbow Studio's is a very small team and don't have the same kind of budget to play with that Milestone had with MES. With MES being the official supercross game and Monster Energy being a part of it I'm sure they kicked in a few dollars Milestone's way. I mean why would Milestone put Monster Energy's name on the game for free? They're doing the best they can with what they have.

Like I previously mentioned this is their first attempt at a game using the Unreal engine. MES was Milestone's second game using it. Like everything there's a learning curve and the engine is only as good as the developer's/designer's using it.

All Out might not be as nice looking graphically as MES but if it plays well a lot of people will look past that, me being one of them.

I'm almost certain that it won't be as broken as MES when it comes to online. It's more than likely going to experience some issues like any other game but I don't think it's going to be anything major.

Played a lot of hours on MES but looking forward to this one to switch things up a bit.

I'm all about quality MX games but I have to be honest. After Encore, I am in the show me stage when it comes to this company with their MVA series. I'd be happy if it's a great game but I can't praise them and put a ton of faith in them until they show me things are different.

Honestly, the only Rainbow games I ever really enjoyed were Reflex and Alive and Alive was so incomplete it hardly counts. I really only enjoyed the compound and small SX tracks.

What I see looks better than Encore but it looks a little too Unleashed like to me. But again, show me things have changed and I'll get on board. Until then, I remain rather pessimistic.

Just being honest. But hey, I'm hoping for the best. I'd love to have 2 great SX/MX games.

That looked awesome. For pure entertainment, I cannot wait. Split screen free riding, this game has it, split screen racing, this game has it, different vehicles, it has it, online play, it has it.

I am happy to support both games; I am anxiously awaiting this one though.

I audibly laughed when I saw the 30 second girl has the same animation from reflex.

Is it really that important?

What confuses me is that Nordic has claimed ALL Reflex code was lost, so this draws some serious suspicion.

I'm not familiar with the Xbox as I'm on PS4 but are you saying that when you went to the pre order page on the Xbox store someone was broadcasting gameplay of All Out on Twitch/YouTube?

Not quite getting what you're trying to say.

Also, it's not going to look like Reflex. It's a completely new game. New codes, new game engine, etc. That said it might "feel" the same or similar once you play it.

I had a ps4 before I went to the one x, but on Xbox there’s a game page. 17hrs ago someone upload some game clips of them playing it. It won’t let me upload the video

I haven't played mx video games since Reflex xbox live went down. Before that, ATV Offroad Fury 1 and 2, Excite Bike, Supercross Circuit, MX Unleashed and Reflex were the best. Even Carmichael's game on ps2 was fun. Reflex on xbox live was the best. If this game is close to reflex ill buy it

LOL. It's a dig at you. You've been hyping up the MES game since the beginning and not saying many great things about MX vs ATV to the point that it's borderline like you're on Milestone's payroll.

I could be wrong but I'm 99.9% sure that's what SKlein is referring too.

I don’t understand the hate on MES. I love that game! I’m still happy to see another Rainbow game though. The more the merrier! I haven’t liked any of the Nordic releases yet but I’ll still be buying and trying it out.

Yeah, I see now. Gotcha. That's fine. I know there have been some issues with MES but Milestone brought a lot to the table for their first US based Supercross game. A lot of things that have been virtually ignored for years such as a proper career mode, full licensing, track editor.

I think Rainbow has or maybe I should say had gotten complacent due to no competition.

Well, that changed and maybe All Out is them stepping up. We'll see. Other than the bad scaling and the terrible AI turbo boost starts I think All Out SX and MX looks pretty darn good. So there. I do! A definite improvement. It's a believable speed now and everything doesn't look so exaggerated, jump wise.

But Supercross and Encore were not good Moto games. This is not the same team who made Reflex. I base my opinions on what they have done and I question a lot of their decisions. They said they based track scale off making extra room for ATVs. Why not just put fewer ATVs on gate but not change something that is so integral to something like Supercross?

Anyway, I think All Out does look better and hope it's good or even great. I do think Rainbow have the ability to make a great Moto game. But I, personally, have liked Reflex and Alive. Other than those 2, I've always preferred the competition's games.

Maybe I was on EA's payroll, too. Lol. Or maybe I care about Moto gaming and want them to be vthe best they can be. I know Rainbow work hard and try. It's just weird decision making sometimes. Thankful for both companies and want All Out to be a much needed improvement over Encore.

All just my opinion. Doesn't mean it's right. Bring on All Out and hoping we have 2 solid games.

Jeez, so I never give any love to MVA I'm told so I post a thread that actually is giving some love and told I say the same thing every time. I can't win. Ok.

I'm out on it until game comes out.

Just a picture of the PS4 and Xbox game cases from a store. Basically indicates that the game is in some retail stores already but that's not uncommon. Not like they receive the shipment on the day the games come out.

No relevant information. MX vs ATV had a bunch of them on their Instagram story.

You did just post without mentioning MES so we're starting to see some progress. I gotta give credit where it's due.

I'm getting Hard disc pre-order. I'm currently closing on my first house and will be working on it for the next 2 weeks so I won't be able to play early anyway. I can use the extra moto credits for how far behind i'll be once i start playing.

After the last video I decided to go digital, I'm ready to Moto and 4 days early is pretty sweet.
