This game will sure have its ups and downs, BUT my guess is that you can play this game for ages, but as Peely and some other have said, they are already getting tired of MES and its repetetiveness
To my blind neighbor Frank.
I've been waiting for both games praying they would be awesome and I'd buy a next gen and Moto hard! Hoping the actual experience is better than the latest vids
Long term Mx gamer since MCM needing his faith restored haha
hopefully the physics make up for that quirk.
I am hoping for good game play in this.
Pit Row
With that being said I will give them props on some things. The game speed looks much more realistic than Encore and no turbo clutch. Thankfully.
Also, the National tracks actually look like Nationals. Finally!! So good job on that.
Track scale still bugs me but that's prob just me.
It looks pretty good and better than Encore so I guess that is good. No turbo clutch and a feasible game speed are a huge improvement. So I am glad to see that.
I posted a pic of the terrain deformation. Unlike MES you will be forced to change lines as the track gets beat up and to me that adds a touch of realism. I get that the game is more arcady but when you're force to search for new lines it makes it that much more challenging. In MES you see the dirt change but I have yet to be able to hit an inside rut. No matter how many laps you hit the same inside line it stays flat.
Not to mention we'll be able to make the AI as challenging as we want it to be. That's a feature we've never had in the previous games and I'm looking forward to see just how challenging it can really be.
Another cool feature is that we'll be able to tune the bikes the way we like and each bike will sound a bit different than the other's. The fact that the game picks up on the engine load shows they paid attention to details, atleast on some level.
It won't be perfect but I think it'll be their best one yet and in my opinion it'll have more re-playability than MES.
As for the graphics, sure they're not as pretty as MES but there's more to a game than pretty graphics and let's not forget this is also their first time putting out a game using the Unreal 4 engine.
The guys at rainbow were like, “y’all mind if we prove flat out wrong and put heats in”
It looks like MVA is making enough changes that I may have to eat crow and get the game after all. Terrain deformation looks decent, bike control looks fun, and speed is looking slower. The graphics do look outdated to me, but I've always been behind in getting the latest graphics so Im used to it. I was expecting a bit better with all this talk about going Unreal engine and seeing what Milestone can do. I think it might have something to do with the lighting in the game.
the racing looks fun as hell too, and the terrain deformation hopefully will be as gnarly as reflex. nothing like putting in a 15 lap race at Sandwick and having to change lines from the first lap to the 10th etc. super stoked about that!
also playing multiplayer in the open-worlds and player compounds should be sweet.
oh, and Split Screen Multiplayer, need i say more?
