Maybe so but I've seen things being posted ahead of time on the site before and being taken down. Seeing as this is still up we know Yamaha has seen it by now and if it had been an issue with them this thread and the pic would of gone "Poof".

You know it, I know it and the rest of the members know it.

Doesn't matter now. It's everywhere so they're screwed lol.

Time for Kawi to update the 65 now.

I have never pulled a piece at the request of an OEM, if that were the case...that Honda piece from 2016 would gone bye, bye...there were unhappy people at Honda over that one.

I don't understand the concept of a manufacture , trying to keep a new bike....a secret? There is absolutely no advantage to this at all. I do hope it's true and we see some blue bikes out there in the 65cc class this year.

So happy I skipped the fast 50 phase. Everyone seems to hate them.

Agree Jeffro, there would be people over the past couple of months that would be buying bikes for the upcoming season or would have been planning and still planning on moving up to a 65 in the coming months.

If this is coming, let it out of the bag, let people know they have the choice before they commit to going with something else.

You worded that a lot better then I did aaryn. That is exactly what I was getting at. The new season hasn't really started any where yet ( for outdoors ) and if Yamaha is releasing this new 65cc ( and 85cc ) bike(s)......I don't understand their secrecy on the whole matter. It's borderline stupid is what it is. They should have promoted the hell out of these bikes the past 6 month , so riders / families / teams could plan accordingly.

I'm am super happy to see Yamaha jump back in the 65cc class.....but damn , keeping it so hush-hush is a dumb mistake.

I am glad to see this bike, I have heard rumors for awhile here, had some solid info come my way early last year and by last last year I pretty much knew this thing was coming.

I have a son that we will be buying a 65 later this year, I am just pumped to have another option, not saying we will go blue, we have been happy with the Kato 50 so far, but at least there is a choice.

Here in Aus, our race season kicks off for the most part around March, a few races around earlier but all the state titles around the country pretty much run between April and October. Right now or the past month is when most would be finalising their choice of bike for the year if not already sorted.

It is true. The 65 is coming and there's a pic of it on page one.

Why promote a product 6 months before the release when there's a chance they push it an extra year to further develop it. If they run into big problems and decide to pull the plug last minute on the initial release there would be a lot of unhappy people saying things like "We've been waiting for this and now we're behind the eightball. We could of bought KTM/Husky, Cobra's, KX and get things rolling but decided to wait for the YZ and now it's not coming out. We can't get support from the other manufacturer's because it's all been allocated. Our dealer can no longer help us out because they sold all the bikes, what are we suppose to do now. Etc."

Things get cancelled/pushed backed all the time.

Not a photo pro but does something seem a little off around the tank area, may just be me but it seams a little "fixed" in that area.

As of two weekends ago, no. My son trains at Underground with them, no YZ65 yet. he is still on his husky.

Hats of to Yamaha for actually making an effort to compete with what KTM and Husky are doing.

Looks great. Matched the styling of the 4 strokes reasonably without making it look bulky. Need that job done on the YZ250 stat

The should match the four strokes to the current two strokes. The current 250f/450f are so fat in the shroud area they look pregnant.

Central Florida power sports is owned by a friend of mine, I might have to stop in and see some when they get them in.

25 years ago kids stepped from a PW50 to a KX60. The 60 was a bit smaller than the current 65s though.
