I'm looking to get DC power out of a '14 YZ450 and need some help. I've looked for manuals and diagrams online to no avail.
I believe the ECU, and Fuel system run off DC so there should be a rectifier on board converting the AC supply from the coil/flywheel to a DC supply.
I need to know where I can tap into that DC supply as cleanly as possible, and what output it is (5v/12v)

Take a volt meter to the output of that regulator and you'll find out.
I've also read where people who have done this, have had to wire up a disconnect switch because the fuel pump takes every bit of energy it can get from the stator to run when starting it.

I have a 60W LED light with about 1 billion Lumen on a 250F and that is cutting it close. It's a flickering a bit at idle and it doesn't start cold (winter). But once hot there's no problem.

So i want to wire in a light bar or two LED pods onto my 2014 yz450,
So can I really just use the tuner plug there's no issues with that at all? Could someone explain what would be bad if I did that ? Other than having to unplug to use the tuner
And will I need a shut off switch for the lights when I start it cold?

I believe the stator puts out 140 watts, and my 2013 needs all of that to start. After it's running, it has about 60 - 70 watts to spare. These numbers aren't exact. I found hard numbers in a forum somewhere when I was originally researching my add-ons.
