Why are there 2 conversations going on in here at the same time? The forks have nothing to do with the 2018 factory edition husky.
Is vital bro, I could care less about the fork discussion so I'm glad it popped up in this thread

Yeah back on track guys, this is a huge discovery here, and we all get to be a part of it, really amazing stuff, did I mention this is fucking huge?

No I’m serious. They look horrible. The shroud I’ll get used to and it’s almost ktm like but with the gas tank covered by the shroud. But the air box/side plate is just terrible.

The shrouds will probably look similar to the 16-18. I wonder how they have designed the numberplates etc.

Edit: this is the 5th year when Husqvarna is owned by KTM, when are we going to see really big differences? That was the plan right?

From a business perspective, they would be god damn fools to have a split in R&D and deployment for both brands.

Totally agree and I don't think people care that it's a KTM in Husqvarna clothing, I know I don't. I'm just happy to be able to get the same bike and quality components with the different styling and color.

I feel like Husky is going to make a pretty solid jump in the aesthetics dpt. IMO its going to have a lot more changes than the KTM FE we are seeing now.

Maybe they actually only meant street bikes?

I seriously doubt Husky will ever slip too far off the KTM wagon. We will always see base engines, frames, WP suspension, etc the same. It's just good business.

I hope the husky continues to use exact same mounting points for everything as ktm. That way, its all interchangeable.

I agree on frames and engines, but I can totally see a market-segment argument for bolting kit-style suspension on a Husky and charging accordingly.

I was told today by a prominent magazine editor...

With this being a first ever for the Husky brand, I get the feeling everyone has been asked to keep their mouths shut.
