Benoit Paturel 2018

Paturel could easily ride in America in 2018, but with a "outdoor only" contract.
Will some US teams be interested?
Would be cool. Benoit really deserves a good opportunity to show his potential.

Is there a chance Bud Racing will do the West Coast rounds with him? Like Teillet..

Such a big Bummer that teams those days take money over good riders.

He's absolutely NOT ready to race US supercross.

Paturel is actually the only top rider in Europe (MX1 and MX2 categories melanged) not to have a decent ride to take part of the 2018 Motocross World Championship.
He truly deserves one!
American lites teams should seriously take a look at his potential for an outdoor only contract.
The french rider could easily put a top 10 at the end of the 2018 AMA Motocross Serie.
Think of it!

Not considering eventual injuries, are there any good rides still available in the US?
Don't think so...
The field's pretty stacked, like in Europe, ain't it?

Bobryshev will ride for the new french team BOS KTM alongside Tixier.

I don't think many teams here do outdoor only contracts. He could try SX . Remember how well Chiodi did back in the day ? Ironically he ended up getting hurt outdoors.

We'll see how he does in Paris this week-end, but unlike many french riders, he hasn't ridden SX (even the french version of it) in years. He raced the french B series last week on a very tame track and was way off the mark and making lots of mistakes compared to a guy like Thomas Do, who came to the states and never made a main. Rusty to say the least. He's plenty fast outdoors, but no Ferrandis in SX.

Honda Red Moto is full with Jasikonis and Petrov.
24MX Honda doesn t compete anymore in World Championship.

If he isn't that fellow, sure, send him over. If he is, y'all can keep him.
I recall that post too. He said paturels behavior is a good reason to hate on everything french. I found that so bizarr that I remember the exact wording still Laughing Laughing

He should inform all the mx2 teams that he is available for the outdoor season to replace one of their riders in case of injury. He is capable of doing a ferrandis like performance outdoor, should be interesting for a lot of teams once one of their riders is out for the season.

same team as tixier.
I was guessing that he could be going there with Tixier when it looked liked they could run two riders on the team. Interesting team with two guys worthy of factory rides going out trying to prove themselves.

I wish both riders and the new team the best and hope they can put riders on the box next year.

Too late to get Bobby on the ship?
Why would Paturel want to ride for HRC if it's only for a few rounds? I don't get it. They surely won't field 3 bikes even if he does good

Reaction from Paturel on his Instagram:

Wich means in English:

"I discover through the press the announcement of the early termination of the collaboration I have with Team BOS. It is regrettable that the communication of Mr. Bossard is more efficient with the press rather than with his riders.

Without it being necessary to dwell on the realization of this contract and the motivations of this aborted collaboration, I wish good luck to Mr. Bossard and his team.

I do not know what my 2018 season will be like. Count on my determination to line up behind a starting grid.

Sportive greetings, Benoît Paturel."

Weird. Tixier is going really after it and riding allot. Paturel on that side...

Things not looking good for him, Yes he can fill in mayby for HRC Honda, but those first races are Sandy/Sand. Not his strongest point.

He better can look for a AMA 250 outdoor ride IMO

Hmm...I don't remember typing anything about hating on everything French. Au contraire, I've been working on trying to learn how to speak French for over a year. (I can understand and/or read more than I can speak, but real-world conversational French is much faster than what I'm used to.)

As far as the incident at Glen Helen? It absolutely happened. If she'd pressed the issue, could he have been charged with assault? Absolutely. That barrier is actually pretty low.

Back in march he was offered a factory ride on the MXGP Yamaha team and for whatever reason he took time and he ended up losing lost it.
Now this.

It was probably only a reference to a previous post, I don't know and it didn't bother me at all. Obscuritys aren't uncommon here eventually, aren't they? Was an interesting report about Paturel's misbehavior. I would have hoped for a slap or two by some other staffers and somehow I felt embarrassed for him even though I'm not french. As for the language I had to learn it at school and I still struggle to follow real life conversations, so don't worry about that Wink Wink

So ehum...The team said that Paturel won't ride the bikes because he thinks that isn't good enough and because of that they decide to split 2 months before the season starts?

Idk but I get the feeling that there is more to the story Whistling
