Unadilla. The hills, the ruts, the scenery. God made that track himself I hear.

Mammoth, but that place is like a beautiful woman that lives far away, you only get to hit it a couple days a year.

El Cajon MX was super fun during it's heyday a few years back. no longer there Sad

after reading some other responses i have to agree about Mammoth and Langtown. Two very fun (and different) tracks.

Haven't been in a few years after it got so crowded.

Is Bob still putting the race on?

Glen Helen on a Thursday during the nationals.

Or

Honey Lake in Milford, CA when it isn't snowing, although I haven't been there without snow, it'd probably be amazing.

ohio international raceway. located in ravenna, ohio.they use to run the trans-am series there back in the day.gives me goose bumps to race there because, decoster, mikkola, karsmaker, weinert and all those cats raced there.its totally revamped now.. still kinda old school with a few jumps, and a fourth gear tapped straight away to first turn.but the track is awesome. everyone goes there.its part of the cra series.

I had been doing it since 1997, it was always crowded.

I haven't talk to Bob, in a couple years. I heard from Kehoe, that it is no longer running.

National track-Washougal Why-The scenic setting plus I like the layout.

Local track-REM track at Glen Helen Why-It's my second home and all my friends are there.

All time favorite track to ride-Mammoth Why-Sierras, clean mountain air, unbelievable night sky plus killer track.

All time favorite track that is history-Carlsbad Why-The history and the fact it was an actual MX track....not a SX/MX hybrid.

Loved Foglesville,pa in the 70's. Now, I'd have to say Budd's, but still love Englishtown and Blue Diamond.

I'm good friends with bobby jr. and had the privelege to race Langtown many times. but yes, the race had to be forever cancelled two years ago. the noise was getting too much as most of the really cool and accomodating neighbors had moved away over the years. supposedly the city had threatend Sr. with a lein on his property if he put the race on.

but the track is still there! over/under bridge and awesome ice plants abound!

Mammoth Bar. Sand.
Yearly Mammoth mtn. race. Liked the track a lot.
Liked Glen Helen too. Yup it was real windy like Gorman and Adelanto 395.
Sandhill before they took all the sand out of it. Fernley a real good sand track.
Have to mention Plymouth, the greatest track NorCal ever had IMO.
yep.. Sandhill used to be great and FULL of sand. Now its alot of hard pack and a little bit of sand. My dad had a pic of Buddy Antunez on an 80, whipping it of one of the big downhills there.

I Live in Thousand oaks and the city basically shut him down....As some of you guys recall the next door neighbors would let people sit on their roof tops to watch the action, I think some new people started moving in over the years and that probably sealed the deal...That was a time to remember, and just like all great things it came to an end. Political BS. Anybody have some old photos Slow-pro ? I'll try to find a couple myself.

Every time I was there the cops would show up. They would just watch, and keep piece within.

The biggest issue was not the actual race, but how people treated the street in regards to respect to the other homes.

I was a V.I.P. with Bob, and Linda. I would provide contingency cash, and prizes. I wouls always bring a Pro, or two. Mike Healy, Stephan Roncada...Dano LeGere.

I would show up the week before and work the track, help with everything. Then on race day/night, I would show up early, park my box van in front, then I would stay late, and help clean up. It was a mess on the streets.

But...Always good times.

Mosier Valley from about 30 years ago.

Track cut thru trees and had some good elevation changes. Scenic and fun.

Trophied there a few times in the 125 novice but never won a race. I was still proud of that cause it was the hot spot. If you could top ten at Mosier Valley, you could pretty much kick ass anywhere else in Texas.

We've done this song and dance a few times, and only a few on here got to see or ride the track, but it was the Escape Country track in El Toro, CA, laid out on virgin grass, up and down huge hills for the 1978 125/250 National. Stakes and streamers marked the track in knee high grass.

That was real motocross. I know Bauer was there, can't recall who else?

I never raced EC, but rode open practice in '72-'73. The drive was about 15-mins from Tustin.
I moved to finish college after that and never made it back.Sad

Tell me, again, about what Racing World was , in relation to EC.

You 'dimed' me on that one.

Most don't remember or care that intermediates and experts ran in the afternoon and novices ran in the morning.

God those were good times.
We used to steal beer from our parents and already have our races done for the day by noon and watch all of the fast guys and make a party of it.

I did get to participate in the 'afternoon' events before hanging up my boots back then and it was heaven sent to be able to wake up at 10:00AM and load up for the the races instead of 05:00AM.
