There have been many , many races over the years where you can just hear the bitterness in his voice when he starts to talk about the American's. He pep's right up though when they struggle. Do I dislike him? No....I think he's great at his job , but there is a "distain " in his voiuce when it comes to talking about AMA rider's. Plenty of people over here can hear it too. We aint the only ones.
I'm not saying you're wrong, I thought he was pretty fair in that first moto. At the end of the day he's heavily involved in the series, he travels all corners of the globe to commentate on these guys week in week out, so having absolutely no bias whatsoever is always going to be tricky. I don't think he has any issues with American riders in general. He doesn't talk any differently about Covington than anyone else for example, but it's his job to big up MXGP as the best series in the world, so if the GP guys get waxed, it makes his job a bit difficult

Man that sucks for AJ. Hope it doesn't set him back too badly in his preparation for next season.

Hope those guys take it easy in the second moto. That heat can be dangerous if you're not careful.

God that sucks for Jasikonis. He was really flying on the first couple of laps. That's a huge femur to break. Wish him a speedy recovery

I honestly have never noticed any bias with Malin's announcing, he does a good job for doing it by himself most of the time.

Jasikonis was 3rd or maybe even 2nd when he went down. He crashed on the same jump as Paulin. Strijbos stalled on the line then had bike issues later on.

Shame to see so many guys having big crashes

So is racerx correct that Tomac had a 15 second lead when Herlings got to 2nd and the won by 28 seconds?

Herlings last laptime was a 2:20, that is 15 seconds slower than what he and Tomac were doing mid moto.

He clearly backed down and rolled around to save energy for moto 2.

Herlings brought it down to 12 seconds and it stabilized there. Then he backed it way down the last few laps while Tomac kept laying down 2:07s, resulting in the 28 second lead.
