Seriously , Eli should have just handed the #1 plate to Heartlings. I really don't get the point of having the other races since Indiana is the only one that counted.

Nationalism aside, the results speak for themselves. US has the best SX racers but the MXGP series has the best MX racers. It is a matter of focus more than anything else for who has the fastest riders in my opinion.

Whoever said the MXGP tracks are slower, didn't catch Barcia speak during post MXoN press conferences the two years he competed.

Dumgeon for sure!!
"Hey Im not a Tomac fan and heres my "unbiased" opinion of him"
please tell me how this championship was no different to Dungeys??? Infact maybe Dungeys was less deserving since ET3 got the most race wins that season. Both riders deserve their respective chanpionship

I don't think Tomac would have done that to the GP regulars had he made thrip over there like JH made it over here. Herlings made most American riders look like they were stuck in first gear Saturday...and to think Tony Cairoli has been beating him with regularity...it shows how fast & skilled those guys are.

He did it last year at the US MXGP at Glen Helen. Hell came from way back to go 1-1. Didn't Webb win Charlotte Moto 2 from 20th.... passed JH?

Bottom line.... JH is a beast. So are our top riders. One race doesn't mean shit.

That was here on an American track...Herlings did it in a completely foreign country on a track built and groomed for American riders. No comparison. Send Eli to Europe on any given weekend and show me he can beat them on their own turf...

Odds are very good that Tomac will end today as the 2017 champ, after having been completely outridden the last few weeks by Musquin. And now to top it off he could be completely destroyed on the track by Herlings, a guy on a vacation with a borrowed bike. I really wanted 25 to win the title but I feel bad for Tomac. But of course, Monday morning the check will still have a bunch of zeros on it.
Your selective memory is astounding, I'd be in agreement if Tomac raced to be third every week. I'm sure you love to see us American's lose but yet sponge off of us Taxpayers here in America to make your Liberal point seem valid.

Keep up the stand and your grandkids will be eating out of soup bowls filled with grass and praying yet again US troops come to save your Big Mouths once again..

I'm not even American but lets have this talk after the 2 GP's Herlings and Tomac both have noting to lose but pride lets see who come out on top and since it seems relative I;m a massive Herlings and Tomac fan so i dont have a dog in the fight but i think at home Tomac has him covered.

He has 19 450 moto wins outdoors and 13 450 SX wins. And he is far from finished. I don't think that in 10 or 20 years anyone will look at his racing record and say that Tomac didnt deserve a title.

Apparently " all the AMA guys " practise there regularly Sideways

I agree this weekend is the closest we are going to get to a fair battle between AMA and GP

Why feel bad? Eli is about to win is first 450 title and no problems managing this one.
only.

With RV , or Dungey , or Kroc in, he doesnt win. He is just the fastest one left.

To me ,a great champion is one who always stays to defend it, or strive to win it back. See Valentino Rossi, Antonio Cairoli , Stefan Everts

RV retired after SX '14, Eli got hurt first round SX and RV didnt run the outdoors in '14. Won 9 races against Dung in SX, beat Kenny for a 250 outdoor championship, but you are right Eli hasnt done fuck all. Comes back from blowing out both shoulders 2 years ago.

Maybe you should say Everts couldnt beat Albertyn, Tortelli or Pichon until they came to the US or retired right? Maybe Everts would have half as many championships if they stayed there? Shit man, Eli has atleast 6-8 more years in the sport.

Yeah , have to count all those 'i raced half the guys in the class and won' championships ...

Tomac hasnt had to beat the best guy in the class cos he is out injured, and the next best guy quit.. thats not opinion, its fact, if he had gone on to win the series the year he grenaded himself in Denver, cos a 30 second lead wasnt enough, then that would be something to talk about.

This season we had 24-0 threads about Eli, and as it turned out , he barely beat a guy with a comedy thumb, and a guy who destroyed his knee... but he scored the most points, and thats what wins.

Your disdain for American MXers and American MX in general is clear. Why do you even come to this site?

How is that different to what TC222 had to do this year? Gajser out and Herlings injured.
