Who gives a shit how "humble" he was.

People on this forum have bitched about him for years because subconsciously they feared he was actually faster than AMA riders. He just flew over from Europe and raced his first national on a borrowed bike. Not only did he win the overall, but he was the man every time he started his bike.

And furthermore, he's taken so much shit for supposedly being a sandbagger and an asshole when in reality Tony Cairoli's ego had just as much to do with him staying down in that class than anything else did. Cairoli puts on the politician front though.
I agree, he took a lot of unnecessary shit for staying in MX2, but now he's on a 450 racing Cairoli like everyone wanted to see and as far as I'm concerned he has gained a shit tonne more fans this year for being very fast and humble about it as well.

The problem lies in people like you who seem to be overly sensitive on the topic and get real defensive whenever the guy's name is brought up as if they're talking shit on him. When in reality most people on here have been pumped on him racing and know he's a badass on a dirtbike.

So pleased for Jeffrey Herlings that he showed America why the rest of the world keep saying how insanely fast he is year after year- and it wasn't even sand.

He has taken so much abuse on here over the years, he deserves the plaudits now. Fantastic ride.

Am I the only one looking at the final standings thinking the field is not very deep in AMA motocross right now? I mean we all knew it's not the deepest at the moment but damn...

I bet those two donuts on Marv's score sheet will eat at him for years to come. And drive him
For sure...pretty impressive that he was able to come close as he did with any 0's at all. Only one in top 4 to have any.

Imo Tomac, Musquin, Bagget are title contenders in MXGP as well, but i was surprised by the time gap in qualifying in the top 20. Something like 9 seconds, in MXGP that is way less.

He made a comment talking shit about Tony, and I replied. Does the truth hurt?

Yeah I agree, the top guys are really good but the field is not deep at all right now. I've always followed the AMA series but this year I've started following GP's more because frankly the racing is much better and the field is so much deeper right now.

Anyways, can't wait to see this race (don't have the gold app) Smile

I would say Eli Tomac will win the USGP, he was riding conservative in the national. He can beat JH.

your brain doesnt understand any truth ... dont try to act like it does , its pretty clear and obvious
as he did speak the truth about Cairoli and Herlings , there was more politics involved as most people want to know
but you as Cairoli fan doesnt like it and call it talking shit ... still its the truth , if you like it or not , doesnt change anything

I don't know if Eli and Blake would be title contenders right away. The tracks there are quite a bit more technical and diverse

Whatever he has a clear distaste for AC and the Canadian nationals. You can say I don't like JH but I also said he would win days ago. So I may not like him but I am a reliest.

Nope. I've watched many of nationals with Tomac riding. Tomac was riding the best he could today plain and simple and got beat straight up. Don't care what excuses want to be made, if Tomac could have beat Herlings, he would have. The only person I saw trying to actually race to win was Musquin. The American riders are getting soft.

I will be waiting for the excuses of why the American riders are not riding the US GO now. Got a feeling there's gonna be some withdrawals

I'm a big Cairoli fan. I would have been rooting for him today if he raced as well. I believe in the GP series as a whole. I appreciate how riders develop into better technicians because they race much tougher tracks.

That being said.... what I said about Cairoli and his posse is true and I thought anyone that called Herlings a sandbagger was a dumbshit

i think we are going to see another epic race at USGP , Tomac has no championship to worry about and wants to show something ... last year he was just a level higher as mxgp at the 2 USGP's ... dont think it will be the same this year , but he might win it .. But Gajser could too , if he has a good day .. i hope we get to see another epic race with all contenders up front , Cairoli is only one to worry about his title , dont think he will do grazy shit but he is italian and sometimes ....

I'm not going to get into whether Eli could have won today as I really don't know if he could have, Herlings was outstanding but to say Tomac was riding the best he could today IMO is untrue. If he doesn't ride well at the USGP I will gladly eat my words.

I watched Eli Tomac at Glen Helen destroy everyone in the GP class last year with my own eyes, it was unreal! He was able to ride there with nothing to lose, I don't remember who was where in the GP points battle at that time. Herlings was able to ride today with a free nothing to lose attitude like Tomac did last year. I was blown away with how much faster Eli was than everyone else at Glen Helen, as Herlings mirrored today. I haven't seen today's races yet but believe what JH accomplished today may be even more impressive as far as his lack of ride time on this particular track. Who wouldn't love to see these two as well as others go head to head while riding with nothing to lose mindsets! Congrats ET on the championship as well as JH on his dominating day, watching people who are the best at what they do is very enjoyable.

Here's the next issue I have. The complete lack of respect by the kawasaki guys had for the actual race winners was almost pathetic. I can understand celebrating the championship but they basically had to be pushed off the stage so they could interview the top 3 moto finishers. I was standing in the crowd and the fans were actually getting fed up with their extremely long celebration and where basically hollering for Herlings to be interviewed.

Which in turn brought incredible applause once they finally interviewed the race podium for the event.

Not a KTM guy, but they went 1 2 3 and the KTM team literally had to move the Kawasaki people from the podium.

Herlings didn't ride the 450 last year and Caroili was injured.

I can tell you from watching the race today, he got smoked like a cheap cigar.

Herlings passed him like he was sitting still. Championship be damned, I would think as a national champ, I'd at least try and race the rookie, foreign, borrowed bike rider as his first US race. But hey that's just me.
