So Chad complains about the bike all year but according to vital he's just slow and washed up.

Webb has 2 bad races and the Yammie is POS and needs the new one asap.

You go vital!!!

You guys gotta admit that the yz450 has not put out very good consistent results for any US pro rider for a long time, what Milsaps back when he was on JGR? Barcia had a few good outdoor finishes.

It's weird. For regular guys the bike is good. For the top US racers they've struggled.

They won't admit it, after all a bunch of them own Yamahas. I've owned 3 in my life along with the other brands. The fact that they are possibly going to homologate a 2018 this early in the season, should say everything, but what do I know. Cool

They also did that back in 07 for Langston when they brought in the 08 which was barely any different. He also claimed later that it was mainly mental.

Kawi did it in 2011 for RV and it made a HUGE difference. Hey, whatever it takes, mechanical, mental, whatever, as long as it works. I guess we will have to see how it works out. He definitely needs something to give him a spark. Man I hope they dropped some weight off of it, for his sake.(being a smaller guy)

Bike, back or brain I don't know but I'm a huge Webb fan. Hard to see him struggling. I heard Lakewood for the '18, but that's like... now ... so I guess not.

If Webb's back is too bad to race Lakewood, does the Yamaha semi stay home?

It's not the bike this guy was up there with the best in a few races on the 450.last year.

He'll get the ball rolling soon enough.

Why are you so obsessed with the weight and how "heavy" it is? All of the stock Japanese bikes run between 239 and 243 - including the Kawasaki Tomac dominated so many races on in Supercross. Besides, these are factory bikes that can be pretty much any weight the rider wants as long as it's within the rules.

Yamaha hasn't had a championship contender or a rider who's going to contest for wins each week since Stewart. Barcia did get a few wins but that's about it. Unless they had/have Villo, Dungey, Roczen, Tomac, Musquin their not gonna get wins.

Everyone needs to give Webb a break. He's had some issues and it's his Rookie season. He's qualifying just fine. Give him some time and he will come around.

Put a big bore and second injector on a 250 and let him ride that. Hell the 250's are only a second or two behind the 450's already.

Webb shouldve signed with KTM when he had the chance. I get that he wanted to stay loyal to Yamaha since they were the only brand willing to give him a deal to turn pro, but man that 450 is a pig. The 250 works well, but i think the 450 is too much. Id like to see Webb on a smaller bike like the KTM/Husky or Honda.

If it's a mental thing imagine this scenario...

"Hey Coop, that's an '18. It's faster and lighter and and and you can do it just hold it wide open. It's an 18"

Coop on the podium talking up how great the '18. Well Coop it's your bike from MXDN.

Haha forgot about that one. We may see him pulling a Ricky Bobby and run across the track in his underwear soon.

A lot of assumptions there.

1st....You think with Coop's AM career , that Yamaha was the only one knocking on his door?

2nd.....He's just starting this 450 career. The words " learning curve " come to mind.

He'll be just fine , and it sounds like he's dealing with some injuries. He can ride that YZ450F very well when he's healthy , which right now , it doesn't seem like he is.
