Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
I looked up your results from last year and it looks like you weren't able to qualify for any of the rounds you tried. Hopefully you were able to improve your speed over the last year. Fowler made big improvements from 2015 to 2016. He got 2 12th last year so he must be pretty hungry to get into the top 10. Looks like Batman only did the 1 round and got 13th overall. If he does all the rounds he'll earn a number for 2018. So it looks like you have good teammates to train with and improve your speed.
What was your first thought of Gopher Dunes? You get there and it's completely smooth around the track so most people that have never been there assume it'll be a piece of cake. By the time practice is over it looks like the place was bombed. 3 foot deep holes everywhere. Toughest track on the circuit by far.

Pleasant valley was no good. Many riders complain about that one. It was more of a long local track. This year I hope they get it better. I will also be doing the full series. I look forward to the tracks as they all look really top notch.
I'm not sure if you've seen last years Canadian Nationals or not but I posted the videos from all the rounds in another thread. If you're interested in watching them just click the following link http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-Related,20/2016-Canadian-Motocross-N…
Only difference this year is they're not going to Nanaimo. That round has been replaced with Prince George instead.
And to all of you who are racing the MX1 class something you might want to mention on your resume and potential sponsors is that the races will air on TSN in a 30 minute block. TSN is Canada's biggest sports channel. The MX2 class will air on FOX Sports Racing in Canada also in a 30 minute block. I don't know all the details for the states but I'm pretty positive that the two classes will air back to back on MAV TV.
The initial national broadcast for the MX1 class on TSN will be on TSN1 followed by repeats on TSN2, TSN3, TSN4 & TSN5. The races are suppose to air from July to September.
The races are also streamed live on the Conx2share app/website.
Have a new seat cover and hand guards for this thing. But this will be the war machine.
Some of those tracks are beautiful.
Is it confirmed what stations will have the Canuck nats and if we can watch down here? Live or tape delay? Or even on the Net? (Youtube, Daily Motion etc?)
I believe the races will also be uploaded on YouTube round by round but only after they have aired on TV. Has something to do with the TV contract.
In the States the races will air on Mav TV. 1 hour timeslot with 30 minutes dedicated to the 450's and the other 30 minutes for the 250's. I believe that's the only channel that you guys down south will be able to watch the races on. As for when the races will air I'm not sure but they will air in Canada from July to September. I'm assuming it'll be the same for you guys if not like I mentioned they'll more than likely be uploaded to YouTube by the series organisers. Since Mav TV is not in HD you might be better off watching them on YouTube.
Announcers will be Brian Koster and Marc Travers. The two guys that a lot of people like due to the energy they bring to the broadcast. If some of you don't remember who they are you will as soon as the gate drop and the first words being said are "Who's gonna get the Shhhhhhoooottt"
You'll definitely like the two rounds in Quebec. The tracks are awesome and the fans really get into it.
Since there's a few of you planning on racing our Nationals it would be cool to start a thread when the series gets underway so that you guys can keep everyone up to date with how things are going, your results, what you think of the tracks, the competition, the country, etc.
You mentioned that you were going to go pick up your bike since it had just gotten off the dyno. Would you mind sharing those numbers?
Pit Row
I don't know what will come out of this. Stallybrass is CMRC and Thompson/Jetwerx series is affiliated with the CMA & The FIM because they think it has more allure/recognition on the world stage.
Stallybrass has been doing it for 20-25+ year so does he just sell the series to the Jetwerx guys and they rebrand the whole thing? I don't know but I suppose that could be an option.
One thing I do like about Thompson/Jetwerx is that they want to introduce a profit sharing program like we see in other sports and F1. I believe the TV package would also be better.
In the end it's either going to be a great thing or a fucking shit show. Things are moving forward with our Canadian series and if in the end it ends up splitting in two series that will devalue our series big time in my opinion. Stallybrass said he doesn't want more than 10 rounds and the Jetwerx guys were talking an 8 round series. Personally I think 8 rounds is a little short for a national series. We don't have supercross to deal with so I would like to see it go to a 12 round series.
Remains to be seen.

Red Plate Moto Academy/FXR race team (RPMA)
Team mates: micheal fowler / Ryan Batman / Broc Loftus and support rider Talan Hansen who's also commenting above! Alex Ratner being the owner/manager. Most of us I believe have an account on here. Make a forum post would be cool
I'm racing MX1 again to answer your question. If my mates aren't on board I'll make a post as I go along
Between Zack, Talan and myself we will definitely keep you guys up to date as the season begins! If your interested in signing up for our weekly email list just let me know, other wise I will let Talan and Zack keep everyone up to date so I refrain from putting my bias on everything.
The RPMA FXR Racing team is still fairly new, entering our second year and first full season racing the Canadian Nationals. For me as a Team owner and manager I wanted to come back to Canada for a few reasons.
I don't have money from my family where I can just spend and spend on funding a team and when people in the industry find out my age they struggle to take me seriously. Having been around the industry working as a photographer, and other things. I was amazed by how welcoming and nice everyone up north was to me last summer. Mr. Stallybrass and his staff at the CMRC, have gone above and beyond for us here at the RPMA FXR Racing team. The people were a very large factor in our return to Canada.
The biggest and most obvious is the cost. we only have to cross the country twice, and being based out of PA and Long Island NY, having the series come back east to end is absolutely perfect for us. It means we can take the long drive to Kamloops and then come closer and closer to home each and every round. This means I ce ran run this team on a budget that would not even come close to getting our truck to every round in the US.
The racing and the series it's self was another large factor. The racing, and people / industry for that matter, is not as cut throat as the US, yet still highly competitive. the CMRC championship is much more laid back and friendly, while remaining the second or third biggest professional motocross championship in the world. Last year I was able to race a hand full of the eastern rounds with Michael Fowler and run just outside of the top 10 at every race we went to. Michael ended up turning in his career best results last year, ending with his lowest ever national number at #41.
The guys up front are all extremely talented and professional, yet the RPMA FXR Racing team as whole is able to be more competitive then we could be in the states, on less costly equipment, allowing us to spend the money where it matters most on the bikes and having them retain their reliability. As a privateer team having a competitive AND reliable bike is EVERYTHING! Last year we only had a DNF in ONE moto at Gopher Dunes and that was due to a crash, not because of anything with the bike. Unlike other teams where they were only able to FINISH one maybe two motos all year long due to bike issues and parts letting go.
Overall I choose to race up in Canada because I am able to slowly develop and built our team's presence, while helping our riders become more successful and put in better results then they would be able to anywhere else. The perfect example is my rider #123 Ryan Batman. I hired Batman as Fowler's mechanic last year! Batman was not supposed to race but spin wrenches. Ryan asked me if he could bring his bike and maybe give riding a shot when possible and I decided to say yes. Batman came off the sofa, zero training, zero practice and ended up qualifying for every round we attended last year. While his results were below his abilities he was able to put the wrenches down, put on the boots, and qualify on a KTM 250 2 stroke in the MX1 class, and then he continued to improve round after round even while on a borrowed KX 450F.
Overall, yes I want to someday be racing in the US and that has a chance of happening this year if not the next. However I see our home being the CMRC Rockstar Energy Motocross Nationals. Even though it is harder for us as american's to convince sponsors to support our efforts up north, and even harder to receive support from Canadian sponsors we WANT to be racing the Canadian nationals. Everyone keeps telling me that NO american based team has ever, or will ever get support from a Canadian manufacturer, and NO american based manufacturer will ever help a team racing in Canada. This might be true for the moment but I am working hard at gaining support from Canadian based companies while we move towards gaining interest from manufacturers. There is more for us to accomplish in Canada and while I am an american at heart, and my family played a large role in building this country, I will be calling Canada home every summer for as far into the future as I can currently see.
I've seen Millsaps, Alessi and the like at SX's, but a lot of people would newer get the chance to.
Millsaps was great last year, and I'll bet it helped his confidence. It showed in SX, he was as strong as ever for being 100. j/k. And I loved watching an orange bike win last year.
And the friendly Canada-US rivalry doesn't hurt. Sometimes Americans get sent home with their tails between their legs. Nothing personal, just racing. Pourcel, I love T-drags, hope it wasn't Pourcel who bumped him off his ride, but it probably was. Will the mysterious Frenchman show up, or lose interest around Montreal. It should be interesting?
Interesting walking up to a top notch rider and just shooting the breeze with them. Most are quite open. Alessi is always nice (ya, I said it), Bobby K., I'm granting him citizenship.
Good luck. First two tracks out west, just survive them with some points. Gets more loamy after that.
HoooooooooooleSHOT!
