No fan of the sport could be that dumb. Let alone someone who makes s living broadcasting it. Sheesh.

I'm usually a defender of those guys but dear god... total dancing around what was clear to everyone. Laughable.

I am sure I was watching a different race to what they were commentating on, even to the point when they said Ryan was giving the thumbs up to Tomac sure looked like he was pointing the finger.

Yeah they are both oblivious to what is going on most of the time.

Definitely. Blair is the future of SX announcing. Hopefully he has the right connections cuz obviously talent doesn't get the big on-air gig (Ralph).

Ralph makes a lot of mistakes every race. I liked when he said "Malcolm Smith" instead of "Malcolm Stewart" tonight. Classic "Ralph" right there.

Agreed, it's been getting worse and tonight was just downright bad....I second getting Daniel Blair in there, he was great on race day live today.

You know I don't think its Ralph's fault. I always seem to disagree with people but I like Ralph, and am definitely a big Fro fan. I think the problem with the telecasts are mostly in who the producer or director is. It always seems like they are hardly ever on the right riders at the right times. That is direction, and who knows what the producer is telling them in the headset. I think if they had producers and directors that understood supercross more then that would help a lot. But I know Ralph loves the sport and does a good job despite mistakes. We aren't there, we have no idea what they have to go through. Ole Jeff and Ralph did alright in my book.

Guys...its the producers...they dictate the dialogue. It is all scripted....

All year, RD and ET are head and shoulders above everyone else...then suddenly 3 other riders are within a few seconds of them with 5 minutes left? LOL...yeah..those other guys suddenly found a bunch of speed. In the last race... Even Ralph must cringe when the are told by the producers the BS they have to say. I would love to see a camera on Fro during the telecast to see the smirks and eye rolling.

If you don't like what Ralph and Jeff say, you should listen to live from the living room- Mike Garrison's FB live cast. He does it simultaneously. There are options out there.

Ralph may love the sport, but that doesn't mean he is good at his job. He would never make it as a commentator for MLB or the NBA. Those guys know the game and know the players. Imagine if Jeff and Ralph had to comment on 50 races a year and everytime half of the field are new riders. I am not saying we need talking heads like Joe Buck, whom I can't stand, but FS1 certainly needs to up their game a little.

Its almost painfull to watch RC comment from the track, he is not a trained media guy so I cut him some slack. But damn he is stiff and fumbles for words trying to explain things. Juliana is nice to look at and seems very nice, but she needs some acting lessons so she looks confident on camera, I think she always looks scared and rushes through her segments. Jenny Taft is always smooth and does great. I think all the trackside ladies they had this season were really the best most professional part of the broadcast. Maybe they all just need a little more coaching.

I am thankful that FS1 brings us SX, so I won't complain too much but I do think they could do a better job. Every other major sport does a better job at telecasting their events. Time to step up the game.

I think the whole crew is great, they can't show bias and they have to maintain broad market appeal. If they start calling out the stupid things going on then mass market tunes out and we're left with biased haters calling the race. FS1 viewing market demographic changes and they make less money...broadcasting is about making money after all.

I mean seriously, youre bright enough to know whats going on, casual fans probably didn't pick it out.. do you want them to announce that someone is intentionally wadding up the pack? They dont do this for the same reasons that NFL cameras point to the stands when a scuffle breaks out on the field.

Jenny is exceptional and sure RC is a but fumbly but he knows the sport at the highest levels. Great crew and great season.
