I bought a set of the 2017 Thor prime fit. I planned to get Fly gear for the first time in my life but i was disappointed in their 2017 collection. I wish they could make something similar to the 2016 Lite Hydrogen line.

Winner!! I'm not going to a fashion show and there's a 90% chance that I'll be sampling dirt on any given day. I'd imagine $100 set of gear slides through the dirt just as well as the $360 set.

Jersey + Pant-I used to be thor, it went downhill, then switched to Shift when Reed seemed to revive the brand, and then I just got my first set of Fasthouse gear around xmas time. Haven't worn it on the bike yet but trying it on it's definetly comfortable. Spent around $130 for pant jersey glove for all my shift sets.
Boots-Gaerne SG12
Knee Brace-Asterisk but trying to get custom CTI

I usually buy all gear on sale or as a leftover, i never fall into the newest latest greatest gotta have it.

Alias gear for US people is really cheap at 73 dollars.. We can get same Alias from Germany (one shop in eu) 160 Euros to 230 Euros per set... so 73 to others and 200-250 dollars to others.. not sure if Alias sells good in EU?

Been old Fly kinetic gear for 200 hours or so with just couple sets and they were great. Still running them at summer house. Now been Alpinestar and might run them just because won't pay 300-350 for set Seven/Fox even I'm into fit look.

Thanks MXKing! That's a good idea, I might try it, but I'll wait for some reviews on those jerseys before I pull the trigger.

Seems like I'm not the only one that's looking for deals rather then newest stuff. I'll definitely try Alias stuff, like a lot of guys suggested.

Here's my gear, I wanted a two part (vest/compression) jersey, so just ordered a custom jersey to fit my pants and got a compression shirt to run underneath. I think it came out looking ok. And I ended up at around 80$ for pants + jerseys.

When I finish my build I'm gonna go with this setup. My previous helmet was a VFX-W and I loved it, no helmet has fit me better. Never tried tld gear but they have IMO the best designs, even though mines plane Jane. I don't think you can go past tech 10s

One of my setups, love the fly gear since I started wearing it Hydrogen line super lite and comfortable to wear as well. Fly pants I find run a little bigger then few other brands which I like also

My 2017 set up. Waiting for when we go to night riding as it's not breathable and AZ is already getting into the 90s. So I've been wearing my One Industries gear that Motosport was kind enough to give me two sets of (one was free) shown in the other picture.

Has anyone tried the Thor prime fit? I am thinking about getting the black and white set, the one that Jason Anderson wore last race. It is not vented but any one knows if the set is any good for hot weather?

Bought a set of fox 360 gear last year. It was awesome and well vented. But, after ripping two jerseys in two races, I think I'll go back to the lower tier of gear.

A year prior I bought some answer syncron gear on close out for like $90, and I could rip that jersey if I tried. I have brushed off of trees, fell in rocks, went through briars, and still no holes.

Edit: not meant to bash fox, as I do not expect a vented jersey to win versus a tree. Rather I just can not afford to replace a $250 set of gear each time I fall.

Gear is very pricey. But if you're willing to wait you can grab a bargain!

I got 2016's Fox 360 Cauz in clearance at like 30% off in September, gloves included. Honestly so comfortable, I could wear it all day and it's held up very well I'll get lots of use out if it and will buy the 360 stuff again, although I do like the look of TLD stuff.
Again, I just got a pair of Alipnestars Tech 7's on Friday, they're the limited Las Vegas edition ones from last years Supercross season... I paid £230 (RRP £319.99) I haven't had a chance to ride in them but they're light years ahead of my old Fox Comp 8's.

So I guess the trick is if you don't want to pay the crazy prices just wait a while (usually right before the new line releases) and you can get some really good deals on stuff!

OP I'm with you on $360 being too much (for my riding that is). I'm gonna wait til the new stuff drops this summer and see if there is something I want, if not I'll grab some leftover 16/16.5/17/17.5 gear for cheap.
