250 class has been simply awesome. It sucks to see some of the carnage caused by the back part of the field in the lites, but it has made the title chase very exciting to say the least. As long as Zach comes out on top....
Here is my fear. RD retires, KR is not ready for SX in 2018. ET runs away with title early in. I wish we had a few more "Elite" riders that can contend for the title. We have a very strong field but not many can that do it week in and week out like the "Elite"
Now take the reverse scenario: not wishing for this but what if...
RD retires, KR is not ready for SX 2018, Tomac has a setback in Outdoors or off-season (not wishing for this, conjecture). Then we have a very interesting title that is up for grabs with many contenders.
Ideally, we have KR, ET and RD next year and some of the others guys can become more consistent and challenge. Not that I need a compelling title chase to watch the race, I havent missed a race in years, but I know the majority of the people will start complaining and claiming to tune out ( I doubt they tune out though). I can enjoy watching a good race for 4rth place.
We have many fast guys, we just dont have enough CONSISTENTLY fast guys for 17 rounds.
KR will never get back to where he was this January, Sucks! but stamp it!!
ET will dominate outdoors, like Roxzen did in 2016 ,,,, stamp it!!
With an all healthy field, Rd,tomac musquin show, throw in Baggett.
