AC got back out there and qualified 8th, so he must not be in too bad of shape. He's almost always a top 5 guy though, so I think it was definitely having an effect on him.

Don't forget, he did half as many laps as the rest of the field so he was probably still figuring a few things out. That and a rougher track might be all of the 2.7 seconds that he was off the leader.

I'm a big fan of both. I only saw what was posted in the video and going by that is was definitely NOT Zach's fault. IMO, and remember I'm a big fan of both, AC's bump was about twice as hard as Zach's. Someone said it earlier, AC's not all that durable to go around bumping into someone on purpose. Especially Zach the points leader.

Osborne did come close in on AC the second turn , and the 3rd turn looked sketchy... might have pissed AC off?

I'd say AC was pissed. They were 10 seconds down the track in the 1st practice and Osborne wants to act like it's the last lap in Vegas for the Championship. He's been in Lites class since AC was in diapers. He knows better.

AC went too far to begin with, and I really am a fan of both Adam and Zach. Hand on heart if the situation were reversed I'm positive my judgement would be the same.

But there's nothing really that shocking or unpredictable here - it's as old as the hills. The commentators knew what was coming, everyone knew what was coming. If you're going to purposely slam into another rider for no reason, then that rider is justified (under rule No 1 of the unwritten code of all riders everywhere), in his retaliation. There's little difference between each of the two major contacts. Yes, AC happened to come off worse here but it could've just as easily been Zach that ended up injured. And for what? Slightly bumping into AC a couple of corners earlier. How ridiculous would've Adam have looked then with Zach getting carted off? The sport is dangerous enough.

I hope Adam is OK though. He's a great kid that's been through a ton, it's a pleasure to him bounce back this yr. I don't want to see anyone hurt over a moment of madness.
