What's normal anymore? Since Seattle's been off the schedule for the past two years I was kind of shocked today. Most tickets doubled some even more

decent seats in Atlanta were 93-94 bucks. I watched from my couch. heard there were lots of empty seats.

I took some time off from the sport and just coming back this year. I used to go to indy and detroit every year but this year I decided to save that money and buy parts. I won't miss redbud this year though. For supercross its nice to watch from the couch.

They're expensive when you buy ahead of time, if you get them at the stadium or just before the event, you pay face value which is reasonable. Around $50 for good seats.

Every year I tell myself, " I'm not going to Detroit.....I'm not going to Detroit...". And every year I cave in and go. I'm a sucker I guess.

We've had great seats in Phoenix every year. The past two years in the new stadium I paid $45 per seat.

$45 per seat + handling fee + convenience charge + state tax + $10 bottle of water + $ + $ + $ ... It adds up.

Minneapolis - I had the highest ticket prices I've seen yet. Bought several weeks in advance. I paid $150 per ticket for club seats, yet had none of the club benefits that a football game had.

Atlanta - Bought a club seat as well, day of the show. $65.

Daytona - Bought great tickets, higher up (over the fence) highest priced section. Bought several weeks in advance. $72.

St. Louis - Ticket prices haven't changed in years. Stadium sucks. Upper deck is the only place you can see the whole track. Usually buy tickets at the venue for $20 per.

Salt Lake City - $65 "Gold circle" ticket.

I paid $32 for my tickets this year for the St. Louis race. After fees, it was almost $100 for two tickets. If it wasn't for the bullshit fees, it wouldn't be so bad.

I've always splurged on this weekend in the past. I would wait until the track maps come out then buy my tickets off stub hub for a premium after scalpers had jacked the prices up. Then get an expensive room downtown for both nights and make a weekend of it.

After 7 years of that they're not getting me this year! I'm going down in the morning and getting a cheap hotel room outside of the city with outside doors. Rolling my bike in there. Buying tickets at the gate like has been said (you all actually influenced me to do this. I didn't know they were that much cheaper at the gate). Taking the money I save and buying parts for the bike. Racing an off-road event about an hour away on sunday Cool

I was cleaning out the garage last year and came across my receipts for the tickets I bought for the 1999 Pontiac SX. Seven tickets cost me $177 after fees & shipping. I just bought 3 tickets for the Met Life SX this year and it cost me $395, but it was cheaper than the three tickets I bought last year. Section 140, row 11-12ish which is very close to the same seat as last year

I commute past Angels stadium Anaheim 2x/day and watched from my couch. The price of 2 fairly crappy tickets is currently paying for a year of Direct TV HD sports packages.

(Couch+HD 60" TV + $1.50 craft beers from my fridge + empty restroom) > (Crowded stadium + $11 IPA's + Parking $$ + lines + Trough urinal + binoculars)

slightly off subject, but just this morning I was able to get in on the pre-sale of Barcelona vs Real Madrid soccer game in Miami this July. The cheapest I could find was $810 a ticket plus $60 in taxes/fees. So $870 to sit WAY back in the corner - worst seats in the house. I was going to buy and re-sell, but spooked by the $1,720 investment for 2 ticket that might not work out. They sold out in 13 minutes.
I read an article and they speculated the ticket prices would be higher than at a Super Bowl.

I agree with St. Louis SX prices. I usually get them day of show at the counter for around $30 give or take. While sitting front row is really cool, it's hard to see the race develop from that close.

Nose bleed seats at Anaheim and San Diego have been in the $45-55 range. Good seats go up from there.

If you're ok with going into the stadium a few minutes before opening ceremonies, you can usually pick them up from scalpers outside for $10. I've done that for the past 4-5 years. Seats don't matter once you're in...you can usually find good seats.

They're expensive and then you gotta pay $30 on top of that for misc service and surcharge fees then you gotta pay to park. It's like they don't want you to come.

I'll say this about Daytona, it was one of the best race experiences I've had. The facility was great. Typical Nascar facility. Very clean, wide open. You could bring in your own coolers. Parking was free. Security was lax and staff was courteous.

I'll say the pits in Daytona weren't great, but at least you had access. After the race, the fans rushed the track and surrounded the podium. Coolest damn thing I've seen in a while. No way that happens in ATL or STL.

Not all SX facilities are created the same. Promoters too, for that matter.

European football matches in the states are crazy. I paid almost $500 to see Man United play the Philly MLS team in 2010.
We went to Metlife last year as a last minute thing, but with the prices of parking/tickets/fees, I'll probably pass from here on. I'll just keep spending my MX money at Unadilla each year.

My first Supercross ever. Back when they actually tore your ticket in half. $10.00 advance, $12.00 day of. Fees included.

I lived in Oakland for 4 years, 5 minute BART ride from the coliseum. I went to one SX in that time. I forgot what it cost, but it was too much. Nosebleed seats, obnoxious bros and bro hos sitting behind us, they were shitfaced as all get ou, thet weather sucked, and my girlfriend hated it. None of my racing buddies are willing to go because the cost cuts into their racing budget, and I feel kinda the same way.

Now last year I was working in Florida, so at the last second I decided to go to Daytona. The price was a lot more reasonable, weather was better, I felt less claustrophobic, and the guys next to me were in town to race the cross country race the next day, so they were cool to talk to.

So in a nutshell, I would probably go back to Daytona, but I don't think I can justify the high prices for Oakland. If good seats for Oakland could be had for $45, then I would probably go. If Hangtown was on a Sunday, I would go there for sure.

Sure, so do $12 beers. The question was about seat prices, no?
