You guys forget about Marvin. He is clearly faster than RD. If he gets 2nd a few races and RD gets 3rd that's 10 points right there. I say ET3 is in RD head pretty bad right now. Sleeping on the gate, throwing his googles.
I must of missed the part where Marvin is faster than Dungey this year.

Marv has beat RD in two races this year and passed him once...wouldn't exactly call that clearly faster...but hey if you want to think Marv is faster go ahead....or maybe you're just trying to troll RD fans....

Dungey's gotta start winning some more races here soon. I really do think at this point he's trying to protect his points lead and IMO that is never a good idea when someone is on a roll and winning races. Dungey's honestly lucky Eli had that brake problem in Arlington that caused him to crash and get 15th, I mean give Eli a top 5 that night and Dungey's only like +7. I still have yet to see Dungey ride like he did the past two years, which is why I think Eli has an alright shot at this.

He shouldn't sleep on the gate next time. That was pathetic.

So if Dungey is lucky that Eli had a brake issue is Eli lucky that Dungey had people next to him hitting a gate this week and him having a crappy start last week? Or is it only possible for one rider to "make his own luck" and not the other?

A break problem is out of the riders control. Getting distracted in the gate because the rider next to you hit the gate is in the riders control. Two completely different scenarios... Plus Dunge has had bad starts two weeks in a row now, very unlike him. I guess maybe that does make Eli lucky that Dunge has been making more mistakes than usual. Big difference is Dunge can control his mistakes, Tomac couldn't have done anything about the brake issue. I assume thats what people mean when they say "lucky"

Tomac's brake problem wouldn't have happened if he didn't get too much front brake landing after the triple, eating shit, and damaging it. I don't buy the teams statement at all that "the brake was seizing before the crash". If that was the case, the speed Tomac was going he would have cartwheeled somewhere long before landing off the triple. They were just trying to save face and take the blame off Tomac.

My point, it's moto and shit happens! There's a lot of variables in every race.

Dungey is riding under pressure, and we are starting to see signs of cracks.

I think his true character is starting to shine through.

Longest Eli has podiumed SX was 6 in 2015.

He's at 4 now.

There are 17 points to make up over the remaining races, he needs to make 3 a race, that's 1st and RD 2nd. So he has to win out, which would almost double his longest ever podium streak, and frankly only Dungey has done that in a while...

Dungey has been off the podium 6 times since 2014.

Good.

Fucking.

Luck.

I'd also guess RD has started outside the top 5 less than a half dozen times the last few years. I'd be surprised if Eli has started in the top 5 more than six times this year.
No one is giving Dungey anything. Dungey laid it all out on the track at Daytona and if he wins this championship by 1 or 2 points his daytona ride was the reason.

They did not find anything wrong in the Tomac's front brake. Eli fucked up. Im fan of Eli, but racing is better when you dont make excuses for your rider. It also helps with your bet's when you are honest for yourself about your favourite riders.

Agreed. Curling is on channel 22.

His heart must have been beating out of his chest after the gate "whatever" and passing almost the entire field on that track!

I'm proud of him, what he has done for my fav. brand of bike is immortalized.

He's doing great! Nice guy, got some dough, nice family, and got the girl.

And, I'm sure he and KTM will have a nice long relationship after he throws his goggles for good.

"riders are too bland now" "Dungey needs to get more aggressive" "Dungey's being a mean baby"

Oh my.

Well considering Dungey is up by 17 and lost 12 points over the last 4 round, I wouldn't say the championship was settled last night. 7 races left, and if Tomac won out, the minimum amount he'd make up on Dungey is 21. Even if Dungey won one and Tomac finished 2nd, that'd be 18 points. Count in guys like Seeley, Anderson, Musquin, Baggett and even Reed who could end up in between them... It's further from over than some of you guys make it out to be. They'll be separated by single digits by Salt Lake City
