Track layout blows

Probably one of the worst SX tracks I've seen in years. Design was terrible. Lap times were super short so in a 20 minute main where you are going 25-26 laps the track completely breaks down. The 450 main was boring so instead of just having about 16 minutes of no racing we had to sit through 20 minutes of watching nothing.

Clown show.

When does a bus run Eli over to make it interesting?

I knew that the moment i downloaded the MX Sim version and rode around for a few laps earlier this week. What the hell were they thinking? That was one of the worst layouts in a very long time.

The dragonsback section was good but other than that, utter garbage.

Another vote for crap track. Awkward flow and Friese couldn't even hold riders off.

To me the track "looked" like it should have been pretty cool, but am I the only one who saw the races start, then said to myself, "Damn, that track looks narrow". I feel the narrowness of the track, especially where the slower portions were, just forced the riders into single file mode.

The first first turn and track as a whole has got to be one of the worst in the last 10 years.
I agree, worst I can remember. Even more one lined than usual.

It sucked, half or more of the tracks now suck I design better ones at my desk at work with pen and paper.

It's always been my dream to design the sx tracks wish it was possible, you wouldn't see 48 second lap times or lack of technicality

I have to say, this track was a complete let down. Design wise it was just boring as hell. Looks like some riders just mentally gave up last night.

On another note, regardless of the crappy design what is up with riders getting down to concrete, ply wood. 2 x 4's. etc this year? Rut-O-Cross isn't entertaining and is dangerous as hell.

Next year, if you live in MN, fly to Phoenix and watch a real track. I honestly feel bad for anyone who paid to be there live last night.

Another vote for poor track design....looked like arenacross....I get excited to watch SX every sat nite, only to be disappointed with weak track designs that lead to poor racing...add in very bad announcing, the social media bullshit & I"m just about done with watching this clown show.

That was pretty much single track last night.

Lately DW seems to be all about these short 90 and 180 turn sections that lead into another turn. Until they open it up and create more lanes it will be impossible for anyone to truly make a move and come up through the pack.

Look what happened to AC, bad start, rode 20 laps and barely mustered a top 5. The track designs are all about who gets the best start, there are fewer and fewer straight aways and passing lanes.

Not enough separation for 20 bikes for the first 2 turns, not enough room for racing, causing crashes or everybody from 5-20 were way to bunched. to be honest sort of boring to watch, can't wait till 2018, sarcasm!

All comes back to the bikes.

Only reason we haven't seen the stupid fucking walls is because of timed main events... They're just trying to outdo four strokes. Worst thing to happen to the sport ever.

They're too fast for SX. Too capable. I mean, wtf is the point when the top 15 in each class do the same obstacle and similar lap times?!?!? They shorten the lanes to keep the speed down, but it limits passing and chops up a stadium so you get more 90s. Follow the leader.

Sooner the sport addresses the bike capacities (At the very least) the better off it will be. They're a superior speed machine, but they're doing nothing for the racing, the sport, or its health.

If you have a chance to listen to top jimmy's post race interview with matthes, you should. I was shocked to hear that one of the track builders called him a little bitch for criticizing the track. Talk about unprofessional for a track builder.

Only shocked in that they'd be so bold... but those dudes are tied up like the mob, they don't give a fuck and it shows.

I haven't had a problem with the tracks at all this year, but this one failed. Not going to blame DirtWurx. No way they can have perfect tracks all 17 rounds. The problem I'm seeing is there is not enough dirt for these longer mains. Field has got to put more dirt down for the base. The bare spot before the triple could have ruined someone's career.

Before I would consider putting the blame on Dirt Wurx, how much say do they have in the final track design. They have built awesome tracks in the past, so are they just doing what Feld tells them. Inquiring minds want to know.

Just think of how bad it would be when they have to design 22.

I kept saying how hard the track was to pass on. All those 90 degree turns, they way the dirt rutted up it could have been decent if they had more 180s. The double dragons back was cool, what was up with that slow section that Emig kept referring to, what the hell was the point of that?

With all the resources at hand and the size of that facility it was a major fail. That's the best track design Dirt Wurx could come up with?! It's out of the elements indoors and they had the capability of creating an awesome track but instead we got that. It was like a fairgrounds race. Worst track in years and the most boring races in a long time

The design and scale of the track was terrible. It made it near-impossible to pass and faster riders got stuck behind slower ones for excessive lengths of time. Having said that - It was Not an easy track at all. Some of the sections took amazing accuracy, throttle control and finesse to get through cleanly. Also, nothing wrong with the track breaking down - IF there is enough room to find alternate lines and have creative pass making. I hope we don't see any more designs like that one, it made for terrible racing, but to call it easy is not accurate.

Yeah that's a race where you wish you only had 10 minutes to watch. Maybe a new rule. If track sucks then go back to 20 lap main. Definately worst track in years and most boring race so far of the season.

Blah blah no one is forcing me to watch. I know. But I am a customer so I have right to complain when it sucks.

all tracks should have sections that 450 tractors do, that 250 tractors cant.
