And this is Justin Bam Bam Barcia we are talking about...

Your point is?
The whole basis of your post was comparing him to Malcom....an argument which holds no water as he missed a bunch of rounds because of bass tournaments.

What point are you getting at bro?

For the record I am calling 9th, Malcom has a tipocer and finishes 16th

I just hope he finishes unscathed and can build some confidence. Barcia whips the bike around like a wild child the kid is fun to watch.

Yeah, he's really going to struggle to qualify in front of Ronnie Stewart and Alex Ray. Pretty tall order for somebody like Barcia. Laughing Laughing (rolls eyes).

he's 2 weeks back on the bike. I don't expect anything. he'll be chasing to get up to race pace for the next 3-4 weeks. I hope he can finish the season with a couple podiums tho.

some guys logic .

Mookie ,unreal fast guy , has the speed for a podium . Just need fitness ,and stay off the ground

Barica , gets barely beat by mookie in an off season race ,first race on a new bike . The guy is useless. only will have speed 10 th - 20 th place .

I Think he will top 10 at the week end , I think he well be fast in the heat

plus ,i think he deff gets a podium by the end of the year .Plus i really would not be surprised if he won a race by the end of the year . (if his injurys are all healed )

I really ,really dont see why people are thinking the like s of ,Anderson ,MM25 and Seeley , are any better than Barica . He was nt that bad on the Yam . He missed alot of races .But had some good results .

if some of you guys really think a 10min off season race on stock bikes is a indication on how barcia compares to mookie then you'll be in for a surprise. maybe not next week but soon.
those last 11-12 minutes is where the fit guys shine. I like mookie a lot but he doesn't look as fit as in recent years. I think mookie will get there again but it will take some time.

Barcia is at least a top 10 guy, with occasional top 5's before the end of this SX season.
He'll be just outside top 10 in his first race, as he might have got a little rusty, will get faster every weekend though.

and a 3 lapper at that....even early in the race he wasn't a threat to push into the top 10. It's going to be a while before we see a good Barcia.

Will we ever? I was a huge barcia fan couple of years back, bought both BamBam Shoei's and all.
Hate to see him go down this road, how about he rejoins Geico for 2 years of 250 East again? Probably the only way for him to ever win a sx again, sad but probably true

lol I agree. I'm just completely over his attitude. You can't walk and talk like the big man on campus still when you stay injured and don't put in solid results. Blame the bike or whatever, but Barcia is a has been in my book now.

Barcia has had his fair share of humble pie since the 250 days. I don't really know who could like the guy after his temper tantrum when he lost a shot at a perfect 250 season. And then there was the Bercy incident lmao. That was the biggest bitch move I've ever seen in my life.

GP's would be cool for him to do. Quite honestly, if he could just get healthy and lay off SX, do the outdoors then target GP's next year that would be good for us Barcia fans. I don't want to see him get hurt in SX when there is really nothing to prove now.

Tough crowd. Dude was down in the 2nd turn or so and it took him 6 minutes to go from 20th to 13th then had more trouble. Canard was in 8th and ended up a lapper.

I'd like to see how he could do in the GP's as well. He has always been good at the MXDN and he is a great sand rider.

Malcolm was on production clamps, while Barcia used X-Trig ROCS.

And by "had more trouble" ... You mean fell all by himself again? Only to finish, what 17th?

Come on bro call it like it is .... He had a VERY lackluster return by any standard. I didn't get to see the heat race he kicked Reeds bike in.... Sounds like a very solid return, yep. I too am a tad over his "top three talent"

And Mookie kept his streak alive of running solid in the main and crashing at roughly the 3/4 mark to finish near the back of the top 20. He's done that EVERY race hasn't he? I wonder how being on a factory team/bike fixes that problem....

Looking at the facts, I would have to say he is not a top 3 talent.

The whole kicking Reeds bike thing is silly. Dude was stopped in the sand section and got barreled into by Reed, looked back and saw a wheel against him and kicked it away. If that was the other way around and he slid into Reed people would be calling him a reckless goon who can't control his bike.

BAM bam is super talented, but he is having problems keeping it all together.... Surely he has written off the sx season and is concentrating on the outdoors...
