His crash outdoors has him being a bit more hesitant if anything. Not to mention his nearly massive crash in the Dragonback section tonight didn't help.

Dont know!
In Round 2 he was way more aggressive, even in Round 3.

In those interviews past Kenny's crash he was different.

But doesn't matter the Series is still long.
Looking forward to ATL next week.

Odds are in favor of dungey making one mistake at some point in the series to make the series interesting

Heat #2, and it wasn't really a "getting into it," as much as Barcia just kicking Reed's front tire.

Funny how people forgot about how Tomac obliterated Dungey and everyone in 2015 at Hangtown, Glen Helen and the first Moto at Thunder Valley, then in Moto 2 had a horrible shoulder injury that took a very long time to heal. He's back to where he was in 2015.

Yeah, Reed came around the right hander and didn't realize Barcia was perpendicular in the middle of the track trying to start his bike. Reed slid into him (attempting to avoid the collision). Neither went down but they were leaned up against each other. Then Marcia threw his little hissy kick at Reed's bike even though he's the reason they were in that situation. Reed didn't seem to notice.

Rd is still the same though he just does not have the speed Tomac and Kenny has and the speed RV had just occasionally he will have that speed, Musquin is working on it to and it will not take him the rest of the year to have Dungey covered speed wise.

Dungey is just that wat you see now, and thats a consistent podium guy, and he will pick up every crumble they drop. You have a bad night hes there and wins it , you have a great night he's there losing minimum points.

Remember how much more aggressive he was last year in SX though? Not waiting to pass like he use to etc etc, seems like that again. Maybe he is just over it. Its been no secret about his early retirement, i see him walking away with LOTS of records and even more cash. The guy is pure class.
That was full confidence Ryan before he hurt himself outdoors, imo he did exactly the same in the first 2 rounds then he's doing now after Kenny's crash.
It looks strange because ET was fading in the early rounds and Marvin not ready yet, if both Marvin an Tomac would be firing on all cilinders from the get go i would be surprised that Dungey got that win at rd 3. Tomac's freaky endo from last week might just be enough for Dungey this year to get that title.
I'm not even gong to talk about Kenny at this moment because he got everyone's number this year and would have been hard to beat regardless what soil or round it was. Freak accidents happen in this sport and sometimes the better rider will be part of those, outdoors it was Dungey now it's Kenny and thats just painful to watch

My interpretation of tonight with Dungey having watched it first hand.

He was going to dial up his intensity tonight in front of his hometown crowd. He wanted to win one last time here to go out on top.

In the race he was up front and in good position. He started to push it harder. Some of the Dungey of last year came out. He was attacking the track. If Tomac did something then Dungey mirrored it.

At one point things got sketchy and Dungey wasn't catching Tomac anyway. Dungey settled in. Marvin wanted it more.

Ryan Dungey is smart. He is riding with consequence in his head. He is afraid of getting seriously injured. This isn't just about him winning the championship. It is him wanted to have a normal life after his racing career...which he will.

On top of all that. His bike was a piece of shit. Dancing around in and out of every corned and up the face of triples. That thing is not working for him.

Mark my word. This is the Dungey we will grow to know again.
