Anyone have any? I mean surely somebody at the Stewart ravcing rig has to know something and I'm sure someone has let a little more info slip than "maybe Daytona" at one of these races.

The only credible one I heard is that he may or may not race this season.

I've been hearing that the Oroville Dam emergency over flow spill way is going to "fail within the hour" for several days now

The only thing credible is that he will stay silent.
I remember him saying after the last time he went silent that he would not do it again and sorry to the fans for keeping them in the dark.
It would be nice to see some of the old stew before he hangs it up.

I've heard it's a 50/50 chance.

During last weeks Supercross they mentioned that JS7's mom said something to the effect of "he really has taken on the Dad role.....". Well IMO, that says.....staying home......

As someone who does not have kids, I can see wanting to be home and not miss a second. Otherwise you turn around and they are grown.

This^. I got excited when I heard them talking about JS7 until they quoted his mom. Sounded to me like his priorities may have shifted. Can't blame him if they have even though I really want to see him on the track.

Bubba is done! The number 7 just like the number 4 will be on someone else's bike soon, and Bubba will be a memory.

A lot of the evacuees are in my town, I'll go out this morning and ask around. See if anyone knows anything about JS7s return.

If Stewart gets back on the track he will probably be on a bike. Only time will tell...

I said this before: I would guess he comes back to at least get enough points to keep his number.

He probably already has a lot of number plates. I doubt he comes back just for one more. He's got plenty of money and can buy any number he wants. But I bet he still keeps the 7 since he has used it for so long.

Wait where is the guy who told me Big James announced it would be Daytona. Like I have said before and I have always been a fan of JS7. But come on man can the whole drama thing just come to a end ? It's a dam shame that one of the greatest riders of all time in our sport ends up like this.

He will not keep the #7. Just like RC, when he did not score points, his number went to Baggett. Webb is wearing McGraths number. Numbers move on.

As for returning to Daytona. Just my opinion, but I think that would be disaster for Bubba to return to Daytona. Not the place to make a return off a long lay off.

I feel that if you were at Washougal last year, you saw the last race of JS7...

I think he regrets going out like this the rest of his days. I know that many of you will say that he'll just dive into his pool of money, and that may be true. But he's a competitor at heart and he'll be staring at the ceiling at night for the rest of his life wishing that he handled this differently. There's a lot of scenarios out there for how to walk away from the sport you dedicated your entire life to, and simply disappearing is the last one most would select. Yeah, he may go down as some sort of oddity in that he's perfectly content with just disappearing in the fog, but nothing in his life leads me to believe this to be true. I think we'll be seeing interviews with a much older, more mature James and he'll be talking about how he wished that he handled things MUCH differently.

I really wonder if he has plenty of money or not. I mean it seems he has spent a ton of money but who knows. I guess he can start selling of some of his cars down the road if need be.
