Like ML said, the factories uses a very different battery and e start system. I have had 2 e start bikes the 2014 KTM and 2016 KTM. Around 140h of riding, not a single time a problem with the e start or battery.

One crash in a race and you find yourself trying to kick that damned thing back to life and when it finally starts up, you are way too winded to charge hard. This sucks.
How you can argue against e-start is beyond me, the japs will never see another dime from me until they put the button on a bike.
BTW I am 29 and perfectly capable of kicking a 450. But, in my opinion that is for cavemen. You should have a hand crank install in your car bro
Trust me, it's on the list.
I don't notice one way or the other. Just different.

To each their own. I'm good without. I'm not against it, but I don't want to pay for it on my new 450, because it's not worth it FOR ME.
I stopped kick starting it and get pulled by the wife's quad to cold start it...lol. Seems to start better when I call it a pig a few times.
That Panthera setup is being saved for.
