Worked on the subframe and the airbox. I think I got enough clearance, but I guess we'll see after I ride it and it goes through more of the stroke. Shock looks amazing on there!

Merry Christmas!!! God Bless

While working on getting the rear shock on, I decided to pull off the swing arm and linkage to re grease everything. Sanded the cast lines off and sanded the swing arm too.

The shock was still having some issues fitting properly. The shock spring coupler was rubbing the linkage.

The bike is coming together amazing. Got a hydraulic clutch installed, the a kit rear shock finally seems to fit like it should. Still need to get the new front sprocket on, chain, and clean up the cables/wiring a little.

Looks great. With the seat cover, was there much excess material to trim off once installed? Looking to see if it would fit over a tall seat foam (approx 1 inch taller).

Yeah I love the 999. I'm 5'10" and they feel great for me. Cycra makes the rotor guard.

Yeah I trimmed a lot of material off, you'd be fine with a tall foam.

Got to ride on Sunday at a really cool sand track in Kansas, Bar2Bar. First time riding the 125 with new gearing 13/52, hydraulic clutch, stock pipe, and A-Kit shock. The gearing made a big change, taking away the bog and big power band feel. The suspension was amazing too, track got crazy rough at the end of the day. Had some issues with the clutch, the rod seemed too long and after I rode, the lever wouldn't pull at the way to the bar. The rod would bottom out trying to pull in, because the rod wasn't fully extended when connected. It worked while I rode, but needs to be fixed.

Fixed the clutch issue, added a shim that came with the clutch setup. Also flipped the spacer with the o-ring around so it seals in the case properly now. Now the rod is fully extended.

Just wanted to chime in and say badass bike! I put 2 and 2 together from your comment on my SLF Motion Justin Allgaier Instagram post that this bike was yours. I got out of moto for a year (several years back) and went full bore into RC racing, 1/8 nitro buggy stuff. LOVED that stuff and of course was a fan of yours at the time. Anyways, beautiful bikes you have here!

Hey Blake. Small world, I thought that was cool when I saw Justin's post. Justin and I have become good friends the past couple years. He's into RC some, we are both Christians, and we met on Instagram, kinda a funny story.

Yeah I checked out your CR250 build, actually we emailed back a forth some, I was interested in buying it. I was a little too deep into mine though when yours went up for sale. That's awesome you did some RC also, most Moto guys have or do drive RC. Thanks for being a fan!

Maybe we can link up and ride at archview or something like that. I'm out in KC, I've been wanting to head that way to ride. Thanks about my bikes, I've really enjoyed building and riding them, except all maintenance....they are like my darn RC cars. Can't wait to see your Husky finished!

Beautiful build.. those last generation 125 engines were so dam anemic though. The fork guard bolts would look better if you changed to the titanium or red anodized aluminum ones.

Sweet 125! Can't beat the feel of a 125 with good suspension! So much fun.

Come on out to Archview anytime. I live 15 minutes from it and helped build it with a long time friend who own/runs it. Hit me up when heading this way. Generally they do a ride day after STL supercross, gets a little crowded but it is fun.

So simple and clean looking! I love the look of your bikes. Nice work!

Hi, i have just did the same project and i have few questions.
i got a used SHOWA A-kit, and i want to know if it was necessary to go with JGR mx (or any other american susp brand) for the suspension set up?
the thing is i am from ISRAEL and we dont have much of good local suspension guys for the A-kit stuff.
the only guy i know is good with OEM SHOWA and KYB staff but i am not sure if he knows how to dill with the A-kit and how the valving will affect the bike stability when it comes to A-kit on 125's.
can i ask how much you weigh and what spring rate did you choose (front & rear)?
what set up you now on the bike?
i really dont know what to do with the suspension, the front came off 450 CRF for sx, the front came off RMZ450 also sx set up, and shipping it to USA for revalve is 1000$ (becouse of shipping) and lots of headech too becous of custom control.
what about the rear shock?
i can see that you have to cut off some piece out of the subframe to make the shock fit?
i should just grind a little with grinder?
what about the shock length, you said that you just add little but more but what about the clevis i have just ordered new one (tons of $$$) becouse i did see its different.

need a lot of information to finish the damn project lol
thanks.

Well, I’m sad to say that I’m going to sell this 125 and part it out. I will have a thread in the bazaar with all the parts and prices. I loved building it and riding it, but I need to start getting rid of some of my bikes.
