The new Raptor and Super Duty Fords look great! I tend to not buy the first year of a new design. Give it a year to get the bugs worked out. Your 6.4 looks great too. Is it deleted? If not, the newer emissions equipped diesels work much better than the early emissions systems.

That is a badass looking truck!

You think Vital is bad, go read the comments on any truck review article! Seems to really bring out the superior intellects from banjo country - or possibly just the salesmen of the opposing brands.

Can't wait to get a raptor in 3 years when my 15' F150 is paid for.

I'll take the 5.0 in my truck over any v8 offered by anyone else. It's fantastic.

I put the Ridge Grapplers on my Titan XD and LOVE them. I had the Toyo ATII Extremes on my tundra. the Ridge Grapplers are far superior - far better off road, in mud, snow, and rain plus they are equally quiet on the road. I think the Ridge Grapplers will go for about 50,000 miles (maybe more, I have 17,000 miles on mine now). I got ~60,000 miles out of the AT II's. But as far as a good looking off road tire that still drives smooth and quiet on the highway, the Ridge Grappler is the best tire I've ever had on a truck. I can't recommend them enough, VERY pleased.

I couldn't go back to a gas truck after towing with a diesel. Although your trailer isn't big, the extra power for passing is nice. And if you ever upgrade your trailer in the future you know the truck will not be holding you back.

My 2 cents as a Raptor owner (which is for sale if anyone is interested) is that they wear quicker when doing frequent towing. My 2011 Screw tows around 3000 lbs less than the ecoboost F150 and about 2500 lbs less than stock V8. I have a few friends that have them as well and when towing frequently, the shocks needed service, brakes, tranny etc all needed attention much sooner than a F150 or especially F250. Combine that with the fact that you will be seriously overpaying to get a 2017 Raptor, dealers were allowed 4 each and sold out and you cant order them yet for 2018, the new F250 is a better option for towing needs. When the buzz wears off, then what, however that diesel will resale all day.

The raptor is for off road, the f250 is for towing. Why waste the money for a raptor if you are only using it to drive around town and tow?

I would buy a new bike but need to get rid of '16 FE first. Plus I'm most likely out for this next coming season so I will most likely wait until the '18s are out. Figured the truck will give me something to mess with until I finish healing.
Still think you aught to keep your truck and use the money on something else. Vacation to Hawaii? Mexico? Whatever. You already have a cool truck, so the newer f250 is gonna be old quick. Not much different than what you already have. The raptor is badass, but it can't replace a dirt bike.

Get the F-250. It's better for towing.

Another vote for f250. Raptors are sweet but you are gonna pay a premium. The F250s with the 6.2 tow really well, my buddy routinely tows a 9500lb trailer + skid loader with his '16 and it does great. Plus, you can get a well equipped gas 250 way, way cheaper than a diesel or Raptor.

So I currently have a 2010 F250 Harley Davidson 6.4L (lifted, wheels, exhaust, programmer). I really like the new raptor and thinking about trading. I'm just a little concerned the raptor won't cut the day to day needs of having a truck. I have an 8.5 x 20 enclosed that I like to take to the races but would downsize to a 7x16 if need be.
I bought my Raptor new 8/2014. I love it...best truck i've owned...which is comparing it against every model of truck ford has with the exception of a ranger...i've had them all. With that said i continually find myself running to my parents house and swapping out my raptor for their F250 when it comes time to haul a decent sized trailer. With 410hp and 4:10 gears the raptor can tow most of what I need but the suspension is the limiting factor. When you have the opportunity to compare it as closely as I do the F250 is hands down the better tow rig. The other limiting factor is the bed size...i use my truck for a truck and I'm constantly cursing the bed size of the raptor.

With that said I've vowed to never sell my truck...ever...but when i need to tow something for any amount of distance I typically grab my parents F250 and get to listen to my ol'man tell me i should buy a real truck...blah blah blah :-)

Buy the F250 and pull a Diesel Dave and put the Raptor "kit" with the different fenders/bed etc!!! Best of both worlds, but expensive!!!

I've had my 17 Raptor since 12/12 and like my 12 Raptor it pulls my 16' fairly heavy trailer like it's not there and the new one will just run away from my modded 12. They've got an unbelievable resale value and you just don't see many of them which is pretty cool too. You can't go wrong with the Raptor. My trailer weight 6500lbs and my truck drops maybe 1/4" when I put on the hitch.

The extra leg room in the crew cab is well worth the $1900 difference in the price. I'm telling you that you can't go wrong with the Raptor because it's an amazing truck and because of the resale value them. I got 39K trade in on my 12 towards the 17. Try that Timmy Tundra :-) and Yes I love the Tundra too. The wheels are 20" SOTA SSDs with 35X12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. They come with beadlock rings and I've got them out being powder coated gunmetal gray to match all the trim pieces on the truck. I had Vital member Shane 699 ceramic coat the paint, trim ad wheels this weekend and the shine is just amazing.

I had wheels & tires, tinted windows, upgraded all of the stock speakers to JL Audio (HUGE improvement) Cold air intake (zero gain in my opinion) Cat back MBRP exhaust (maybe a few HP) The best bang for the buck was the SCT X4 tuner with 5 Star tuning. Very very noticeable and quite frankly the way the truck should've came from the factory.

They are beautiful trucks (the Raptor) but it's a desert rig. If you don't use it for humming across the desert on a regular basis it's just kind of silly.

And obviously the F250 is better equipped as a tow rig.

~ good luck

Sorry you bros chose the wrong career path. Follow this simple 4 step process to success:

Step 1: Get a bucket and fill it with soap and water and throw a rag in it. Congratulations, you now own a car wash.

Step 2: Hire an investor to work for you doing the BS work of marketing, paperwork, and handling of employees, washing the cars and ordering soap and wash mitts.

Step 3: Play Rocket League. Maybe order some pizza and take a nap. Doesn't really matter.

Step 4: Watch the cash roll in. Now you too can easily afford everything posted and more.

I recently traded a 2014 Raptor (6.2L) for a 2016 F250 diesel. We tow a Grey Wolf 26RR toy hauler and the Raptor towed it with no issues (right at 6,800 pounds loaded). I've towed with the Raptor though the mountains to get to the Tennessee Outdoor National...and I've towed for 6+ hours on the highway to get to Daytona for Bike Week. The reason I traded was because our camping trips increased in frequency...and I wanted a rig that was more geared towards towing. We also want to upgrade to a 5th wheel in the next few years. I miss the handling of the Raptor...but love the power of the diesel. I also enjoy the 6.5' bed on the F250 vs. the 5.5' bed on the Raptor. They both are great trucks...and should easily handle the trailer(s) you mention.

Yes...I used a weight distributing hitch with the Raptor. I also use it with the F250. Honestly, the F250 drops more than the Raptor did (which surprised me). I'm going to put the F350 blocks in the rear of the F250 to help out with the squat. I will still run the weight distributing hitch, however.
Not sure what you mean by the weight distribution hitch but if you'll get the leveling bars that run from the nose of the trailer to the hitch, and hook it up properly before the full amount of weight is set on the rear of the truck that bad boy will tow like nobody's business!!! We sold a ton of them at our RV dealership and worth every penny.

Ha ha. My career path went like this:

1. Buy stuff
2. Pay it all off
3. Sleep at night

The last raptor I saw at a dealership the dealer crossed out the MSRP in sharpie... and then posted a piece of printer paper next to the sticker with $10,000 added for an in demand vehicle. I didn't even think that was possible haha
