Dungey has always been rock steady, he rides his own race and doesnt deviate, and is ok with taking a second vs fighting and possibly crashing for a 1st.

Dungey will be on the box every weekend, but he will get beat to the top spot because he doesnt have the aggro'ness to assert his dominance

Yeah, and if this bozo wants to argue, all we have to say is Dungey got injured in the MX season, thus gifting the title to Roczen.

Do I believe that? No. But it's the argument he's trying to make by saying Dungey only wins when his competitors are out. We might as well say the same for Roczen. Last I checked, the last series both Roczen and Dungey competed in all season was SX last year. Dungey out right won, no excuses.

Roczen, Dungey, Musquin, Anderson, Tomac & Seely

I think that's a reasonable assessment currently. Perhaps Webb or Reed will replace Seely or Anderson in the group before the year is over.

So purty...

Is the "Big 6" a new term? Normally it's either top 3, 5, or 10. I suppose we can randomly choose any number. Maybe it's because the original poster feels there are 6 guys capable of a win? Not sure. All I know is that I think there are 5 guys capable. Roczen, Tomac, Dungey, Muquin, Anderson, Seely. Holy crap, I listed 6... Nowwwww I get it.

Playing off of Weege's "fact's" on Racer X,
There is going to be some good racing this year. Yeah, Ken Sauce is "Super Fit", but so are Cooper Webb, Chad Reed and Blake Baggett. And those guys are not even top 6 ?

Fact: Dungey is an Animal. Weston will not back down. Alessi knows how to holeshot. Reed aint done yet. Baggett, Webb and Tomac have something to prove. And Marvin and Anderson ? They got to be getting tired of getting spanked by "Goldenrod".

Hopefully, Kroc and Honda wont continue to run away every Saturday night and we get to see some good racing.

barring any major injuries Roczen will runaway with the title. He is riding like JS7 in 2004, when he was on his 125. He only lost two races the whole year, due to mechanicals. and Roncada even challeneged his at vegas and Hangtown and he wasnt phased.

Kroc is gelling with his bike and his training, he is confident and KNOWS he will win.

after him in no particular order, Dungey, tomac and musquin, then seely anderson
Dungey won straight up , in 2010 against RV . RD was leading the points and had more wins up till RV crashed out . Also in 11 outdoors RD was every bit as fast as RV . getting on KTM really hurt his speed until the latest KTM bike came out . imo RD strugled with an all new bike that was nt good enough in 12 and 13

He might get a win here and there . but everyone is acting like he will be fighting for the championship . i think he is a great rider but will never come near a championship jmo

No one will be fighting for a SX championship other than Dungey and Roczen. Anyone who thinks otherwise is crazy (barring injury from those two.) Also, no one will be fighting for an MX championship other than Dungey, Roczen and Tomac. Yes, Anderson, Seely, Reed, Webb and every other guy who lines up on the gate are fantastic riders there's just a large difference between the aforementioned and everyone else.

I'm going to the way back machine regarding the term "Big 6" . In the '80's and '90's there were 6 big accounting firms to work for. It was a common term thrown around if you were an accountant as most people desired to cut their teeth at these firms....ok, so I lost everyone here but that's when I first heard the term and asked the same question.

To answer the OP though: Dungey, Roczen, Tomac, Anderson, Musquin, and Seely. Webb is a hang around at this point, Reed is an ambassador now and I doubt Mudflaps makes it through the season healthy.

If we're going to go that route,

JMB, Decoster, MC, RC, JS, CR.

The ward's, hannah's, of history all rank up there but those guys had something special.

I chose Wardy because of his versatility-he raced everything including Indy cars, and he was a beast at the MXDN. I know we are taking about mx here. Same for JMB-right into MotoGP-who does that? All just fun and all just MHO.

It'll be Kroc and Dungey. I couldn't believe Tomac threw out the anchor that bad last week. Hopefully he can get that figured out.

I think these are good choices.

For me it would be Malcolm Smith, DeCoster, DeStefano, Rick Johnson, Jeff Ward, and David Bailey.

But it's tough to leave out Hallman, Bayle, Stanton, Bradshaw, RC, McGrath....

Kenny
Dungey
Musquin
Tomac
Anderson
Seely
....then Reed, Peick, Bagget

In that order

RJ, Hannah and Bailey easily fit with these guys. Take away the career slowing/ending injuries to any or all of those three and the history books might look much differently.

Lettuce be real tea. There are only the "big 4"

1. Kenny

2. Kenny's ego

3. Dungey

4. Dungey's magical, tiny, albino, keeper of the food

Let me help you guys out here. For the championship, it's Roczen, Dungey, then everyone else. There is no big six. It's the big two.
