Took Jr over to the Nat. this weekend for his first race on a big bike. The Saturday Jr race was run in a Harescramble format and Jrs class ran 4 -8 mile loops.
I could tell he was a little nervous at not only doing his first race on the 200 but being thrown in the deepend with the A class

It took him several kicks to get it started and then he had several falls and stalls on the first lap and lost touch quickly with the pack.
By his second lap he was riding much better and pushed hard all the way to the end.

We stuck around for the National the next day and got to watch some of the top off road riders in the nation go at it.
Charlie Mullins fromm the GNCC was on it all day.

Not sure who this rider was but it may have been Jimmy Jarret

Big Nick Fahringer on the Husaberg lays his shoulder into a sapling making the trail a little wider for everyone behind him.

Russell Bobbitt was flying all day and it is sweet music to hear him charging through the woods with that 250 2 smoke running on full song.

I had to leave early on Sunday so Jr hung out with Bo Bobbitt the rest of the day and got to go to the victory dinner with Team KTM. He sat next to Cole kilpatrick and Russell.
They spent quite a bit of time talking to him about his racing and needless to say he is super pumped to start on improving over this weekends results.

that second picture of Mullins - is he doing a toe drag? - I thought that went out with forward mounted shocks
Jr is looking good!

Good to see your boy mixing it up with the big guys.
My son just made that jump and he was very intimidated his first time on the line with the big bikes.
