I think the new Honda is great, which obviously helps, but Roczen is just on fire right now. He would've won last night on most of the bikes out there

The bikes handling and suspension are on another level, high speed, low speed, little fast chop, whoops, landings, under braking, under accel, Haven't seen a bike WORK like that in a while, even more so than his championship suzuki.

Take that advantage along with his natural talent, line choice, riding style, focus, response & fitness you have an unstoppable combo.

This is about to get ugly.

We've seen kenny when the bikes not right, and he's the first to tell us. You know that. He's learned how to tune a bike over these past 3 years.

yes, and credit to both Roczen and HRC for getting a brand new bike into what looks like (it may struggle on other tracks for all we know) a damn good race machine, looks like MEC was no fluke either.

Lets see how the rest of the season goes... Smile

Be interesting to see if Ken ever blames bike set up at Honda. If he's not happy I'm sure he will let us know like he did with Suzuki.

Man I'm pumped I hope he can keep this form all season and hold the Dunge off

It's not the bike that wins races!

Not the bike

Maybe someone can embed the video, I am on the phone.

Some of you guys are exactly who Honda is looking for to come buy up all their '17 450 inventory. Roczen would have won on anything IMO. He dominated all summer on it. He KNOWS he is the fastest guy.

Kenny is the best rider on the planet on the best ride. If you question, HRC factory bikes, I question your knowledge on the past 1980s, 1990s, 2000s.

it's more than just the platform, the 17 CRF 450 is an excellent base to work with and isn't going to hinder him that's for sure . Ken has an incredible team behind him together they found a setup he's very comfortable with early on, this has allowed to him have incredible confidence, and when a rider gets that kind of confidence this is what you get .
He's stated that himself...

Nice.

Someone's paying attention.

That's what too much power does to a chassis already behind the curve. That bike should come on in the outdoors series though.

The fastest riders keep their momentum, a mellow engine package and dialed suspension is the way to go vs aggressive set ups, same with riding styles and intelligent line choices. that's what we're seeing in kenny... I'm noticing the faster a guy goes how much it pays off to have a more fluid, plush focus in set up. Creates a certain type of stillness, that translates into traction and control vs the other, slower guys aggressive set ups...

Watch how plush and poised his suspension is in compression and rebound. High and low speed.

Fucking Dialed.

That lets him ride smoothly with less effort, allowing him to push the pace more comfortably and go harder.

That's how he won outdoors along with line choices.
Seriously. This 90% rider shit needs to stop. This is 2017, things have changed, setup is more and more important.

I don't know too much but just as a spectator in the stands, it seemed the Kenny's Honda was on another planet performance wise. I know the guy is in shape but man that bike was smooth everywhere..."like butta". Going into turns, exiting turns, whoops smooth. HRC efforts look like "theyrrrrre baaaaack".
It doesnt hurt having such beutiful style riding the bike

This absolutely this...Roczen pulled a mcgrath and was way way way fucking smooth.. his bike did nothing unpredictable.. BTW, i doubt he would look as good as he did tonight on any other brand...

Honda, brought in so many tech's in the honda pits it was crazy. and his suspension look better in the chop than dungeys and musquins...same with seely's bike too.. but seely kinda dropped an anchor lol

I don't know where some folks come up with this stuff.

I'm simply...well...impressed with the ENTIRE EFFORT put forth by Honda:

New Bike...COMPLETLY NEW.
New Approach...Cole was on a really neat "Proto-type" REALLY Early (haven't seen Red do that in YEARS!)
New Rider...HUGE financial commitment.
New "Guru"...they hired Smiley Short to help sort the bike(s) out...and work with the riders (that was pure GENIUS!)
New "Attitude" that's apparent in EVERYONE from Dan B all they way thru The Mistery Tech/Rider - Jason Thomas aka "JT".
New Smiles, too.

I always wondered if that was hondas plan to bring short on or if Kenny asked for that. him and short are good friends.
