Just gutted for Canard I only like 2 gingers Canard and RV get well surely he has had the most injury riddled career in the last 5 year

Don't get why you would ride heat, semi, LCQ, battle for a transfer spot until the last lap of the LCQ, then not line up for the main. He took a main spot, went t the gate and then just rode away just before the race started. Kind of dumb. Someone else could've had that spot in the main

If he did get the point it was all about racing, he just needed to get any points he could. He may have had the age old struggle in his mind.....Do I gut it out and risk the season for one race? Am I being too cautious? And on, and on and on. We've all done it whether it's calling in to work sick or lining up at a local race after a bad get-off in practice.

I thought it looked pretty obvious that he hurt his arm in the semi when it got ran over after he washed out. He didn't realize how much it would affect him until that LCQ. Probably got back to the truck and once the adrenaline from the qualifiers went away he realized how much pain he was in and wasn't willing to risk riding injured in the main.

All anyone had to do was pass him in the LCQ to make the main. They had their opportunity.

Although it was a total shit show of a night for Trey, I didn't see any signs of a bright year for him. Hope he can turn things around and at least be a solid top ten guy all year. I know that doesn't sound like much, but a top ten this year is a solid finish for anybody other than a handful of top guys.

Could have incentives laden contract. Bonus for mains made, bonus for points earned. He is doing what he needs to do contract wise, nothing wrong with that.

Yeah if it's literally just a sore shoulder then that's ridiculous that he didn't ride. Really? A sore shoulder? Now if he's broken a bone or separated a shoulder, then that's a different story. I'm sure we will know more soon.

I'm pretty sure he rode the parade lap and decided not to go after that. You could tell he was hurting in the LCQ.

I say give the guy a break. Some of you are talking like he is some kind of pussy or something? How many bad injuries has this cat bounced back from? I see posts on here all the time about people "hanging up their boots" b/c they're scared to ride without health insurance or they're in college....Why throw the whole entire season away over 1 race. He was being really reserved in the LCQ so if you would have tried riding like that in the main someone would have taken him out or he would have taken himself out and risked further injury.

Factory KTM set up a contract to make it ok to just make the main event and finish last? I'm thinking no on that.

Trey Canard is an amazing talent with a HUGE heart. He's obviously smart enough and experienced enough to weigh the potential for further injury vs. reward. And this was very likely discussed with Roger Decoster and the rest of the KTM before the parade lap. Kudos to Trey for using sound judgement.
