I saw a post on Dean Wilson's instagram where he was wearing those and the amount of comments about the boots caught my eye.

I thought the whole pink thing died out a few years back but apparently it's still the rage amongst the kids these days (angrily pumping my vet class fist in the air)

I actually like the color pink (I painted my BMX frame fluorescent pink in high school) and these boots don't look horrible on their own but paired with most other pairs of gear, helmets and bikes... it looks atrocious.

I think they look pretty dope to be honest. Pink isn't really my thing but they look pretty trick. Would look awesome with flo orange!

The younger crowd will like it (for the most part) and the older crowd will hate it (for the most part.) This is why companies make basic black and white too, so they can make everyone happy.

What is the age break between young and old? I'm 28. Do I have a few more years till I join the geezer club or did I cross that bridge at 22 when I graduated college?

Fugly. I saw the Deano pics too, and they boots look like crap with the rest of the cool O'Neal gear he had on. It's like I can hardly stomach 99% of the stuff Barcia wears too!

Someone get JT in here. I'd imagine the bright colors like this actually sell more. I don't mind this. Some of the "flo" colors are cool out on the track. You would think it would come around and colors would bounce back to neutral colors but sales drive the design.

Yeah I think our age bracket is the confusing one. We're hit or miss on the colors. But again, we can all be happy due to the different designs.

Colors this bright are definitely polarizing but with LE type items, such as this, that's not an issue. There are plenty of customers that like the fringe bright stuff to sell out of limited numbers. If an outlier such as this was bought in bulk numbers like a solid black, that could be a mistake. In reality, though, when colors cause threads like this one, the company is accomplishing what they set out to do, attract attention and sell a limited quantity of an item.

I like the bright colors, I think it is fun to play around with as a designer as well.


That said, I'd imagine you are just as happy as I am that the Lite Hydrogen Monster Cup stuff sold out so quickly....and disappeared from the site....Wink

the High-Viz stuff is getting really popular in snowmobile gear as well, it makes sense for that though as when you're in some trees you could pass right by your stuck buddy when he's less than 10 feet from you.

My kids love everything bright obnoxious and , imo, ugly. If buying gear without there opinion I just look for what I think the ugliest is and that usually works. On the positive side it's the only clothing my 15 year old doesn't "borrow"...........

Probably not that far off though. What's that gear run, $350 or so? Airbrakes are around $200, right? Throw in a pair of knee braces and/or neck brace and/or chest pro and you're probably around that $2,000 mark. As I type that, it's kinda crazy to realize it could possibly cost a couple grand to ride before you even buy the bikeLaughing Laughing Laughing
