Will KTM produce a 2017.5 FE?

-Thinking about pulling the trigger on a 17', but if a FE is coming in the next 45 days or so, I may wait. Anyone have any valid info?

I think they are coming with 52mm WP Cone Valve AER's and an air shock. But I wouldn't want to start any bad rumors..

The most important thing is the frame color and graphics for sure. Orange frame, Orange plastic and Red Bull logos rule!

I like this sooner rather then latet stuff. I'm really due for a new bike! KTM is changing the rules..... They upgrade bikes every yr. I feel like going Orange just to support their efforts on improving the bikes.

Every year most manufacturers update their bikes, KTM just produce a interim next years model to get their race team an edge....works for them and the consumers who are happy to pay the price. Does that make me want to buy a KTM? No. Thats not hating on KTM, they are reaping the awards, kudos to them.

well we agree to disagree then....the only 450 manufacturer not to make a lot of changes is Suzuki.

Kawi, Honda, and Yamaha all come out with brand new bikes every 3-4 years since the inception of 4 stroke motocross bikes (for the second time). Suzuki is the only one that hasn't been keeping up and even they have made many changes to their last generation bike.

I have yz's and a kx currently... no KTM's yet. They are upgrading all of their bikes. Why not support a company that is working on providing a updated bikes at all levels. I'm excited to see the FE!

Perhaps because its cheaper to get a Japanese bike and get the same results? By your reckoning no one should buy a Suzuki because they are the opposite to KTM...however, fact is you can still win on a Suzuki ...you can argue a lesser updated bike means its more familiar and therefore easier to setup.

People buy a brand because of several factors, availability in their area, dealer support, contingency for their level, prefer spring instead of air, etc etc...

My reckoning is why not support a company that is improving all of their bikes? If everyone buying bikes had a great mechanic with a good budget to help them get the setup right and had the riding abilities... yes any bike would work. That said I'm all for progress and realize that weekend warriors buy bikes. Would you buy a Suzuki at retail? I think it's 10 plus pounds heavier and down on power? 10 pounds of weight loss and adding more power sounds expensive to me.

More like 20 pounds. I'm thinking my next bike will be a Ktm or husky. Never liked them but you can't argue with the effort they're doing...

When you can get one brand new for 5k less than a ktm.... yeah, i'd buy a zook all day every day and have it exactly how i like it for less than a ktm.

I see so many ktm guys drooling over just how amazing they are. Its just another bike. Look around at who buys and rides, not factory riders, everyday people. Am racers. Vet racers. Ktm is still way down the totem pole for winning. Look at mini o's, yamaha and kawi cleaned house. Suzuki had more wins than ktm. That is what i look at to see what the general pulse of a bike is. And ktm isnt hitting on much in the real world
