Non, he just needs someone who helps him with his diet, training and make him focus on being competitive and it would work out.

Zero.

He would need 4 months in FL with Aldon first though.

He would be top 8 right out of the gate.

He could jump on the Jason Anderson boot camp regimen going on right now and probably top 5 the main at A1

Right now, with a proper off-season prep he would be right there.

If he stayed away for yet another year, not sure that would be the case.

0.

If he trained solid from now to A1 he'd be top 5 straight away.

I don't think we'll ever see him take it totally serious again. He's doing some races here and there , but mainly for fun , Monster is paying him well , Kawi is paying him well , and i think he's already proved all he ever needs to. He could top 4th - 8th at just about any race until he was to get serious about training again. THEN....i would consider him a title threat , in anything SX or MX.

But it ain't going to happen ( I think ). Would be cool to see him try another year or two though. One of the most exciting riders I've ever seen. Just goes for it!

but what if Kaw/Monster said here is a bunch of $ , go get in shape , have fun , no pressure , go see what you can do and maybe even help Eli out with a couple things .

I think with the same level preparation he had for Aus-X could potentially see top 10 but would be an effort, not sure how long would be required for the full Poto to be back. From what I saw on the weekend he was pretty puckered after a while on a 30 second track but mind you everyone was racing so hard and when he put in the effort he had great race craft.

I would really enjoy to see him make a outdoor only deal....cause he was a beast outdoors...i perfer outdoors i like the longer lap times and rougher tracks , but man id say he could be back in 6months or less....plus i think he would need the structured environment of Aldon Baker or another solid trainer to keep him motivated.....he casually trained for Aus-x...he was commited to a top 5.....said he didnt set out for a win....he really doesnt have anything to prove he won everything their is to win in the US...a got 1 MXGP win.....

According to RV himself, he could not train at all and be about 5th every week.

I believe Kawi and Monster already offered a bunch of $ and he didn't like the life. I gotta agree with Jeffro. I'll be surprised if we see him take it as serious as we did before. He may race one or two races, but I don't think he'll ever be there for a full season ever again. He doesn't have the mentality to go into something and not give it his all.

Totally agree.

Being at the top level is a huge commitment.

Nothing wrong with being sick of the work it takes.

Don't you think they've already done that? Kawasaki didn't just let him walk when he retired. He's over it and I say, good for him.

If he gets serious about his dirt moving, and construction or whatever he does... there is 20 times the earnings available for a working lifetime with hugely less risk.

I say all pro racers should take note and up their value.

Define competitive, because he looks pretty competitive now. A threat to win? Maybe half the series? I'm sure he would have to callous up his mind and body into winning shape.

I don't see him returning, but it would be interesting to know how much he has been offered to come back for just five months of SX. Everything has it's price.
