Called my dealer, they have no clue when these will show up still. Does anyone have a firm date yet on both the R and RX ?

Was at Manchester Honda today. Other than a couple CRF250's, the floor was full of KTM's and Husky's. Even if the new CRF450 is great, Honda has a lot if ground to make up around here.

Dealers get an order statement every weekend with ETAs for everything they have on order. Tell your dealer to look at it and tell you what it says. My dealer's info says 11-21 is the magic day.

I personally visited 2 Honda dealers in the Phoenix metro yesterday about the new 450, First dealer did not really want to say anything, Second dealer said first/second week in December. Been off a bike since fall 2010 and am feeling the itch again and have been waiting for a new Suzuki, grew up on yellow bikes, but the new Honda looks great! Deciding between both, might get a 125 and wait for the 18 models.

I would have considered one IF they were available this summer. Because they weren't, I went blue and enjoyed my new bike all summer.......

I understand that they had issues with the earth quake, but god damn..... this is painful for the guys who have been waiting for months.

I think Honda's 2017 redesign is going to do most of the selling. People love their Honda and if the brand offers a competent or re-designed MX bike, they sell very well.

I guess it depends on how worn out their 16 is, in speaking to a few 16 owners last weekend they said hanging onto their 16's for a couple more months wasnt that bigger deal....so maybe for a select few its been a hassle but it seems most of them are happy to wait, they (rightly or wrongly) have believed the hype.

Honestly makes sense that a 2017 model would come out just before 2017 or at the beginning of 2017..

I'm all about Kawasaki but that kid stepping on that bike and ripping it up, along with their quality, fit and finish of their product.....yikes they are gonna sell some bikes!

Is Honda going to get enough units in to meet the homologation rule? I found this in the 2016 Supercross Rulebook.

c. Minimum quantities which must be available through US dealers:All Manufacturers – 400 units per model
d. Importation quantity deadlines:
1. Minimum 200 units March 1st of the current season
2. Minimum 400 units June 1st of the current season

Does anyone know when the 400 units must be available by?

Its an honest question, the rule book is kind of vague. I am assuming that the rule applies to model year and that Honda must have 400, 2017 models on showroom floors to meet the rule requirements and race the bike. Are there already 400, 2017's on showroom floors? Are they coming in by the thousands? I don't know so I asked.
Maybe you can come up with the words and explain to me what I'm missing here. It would be appreciated, thanks.

Put it this way, Honda produces and sells thousands of CRF450's in the USA every year, they need to have only 200 by March 1st 2017 and 400 by June 1st 2017....

Lets say there are only 500 Honda dealerships in america that sell the 450's...and each one of those dealerships only get 1 bike allocated to them in the first shipment, thats still way above what they need to satisfy the rules.

Okay my bad, I see I had the answer in my original post. I over looked it as the dates occur after the season starts. Nothing to see here, I'm vitarded.
