Really disappointed when I saw this. The whole Albertson crew is awesome. Great people to talk to and for sure a hard working bunch. I will not purchase from Motorcycle Superstore again after the way this went. I think this year they had the best looking bikes in the pits. I loved them.

Haha no. That whole night my buddies were bustin my chops because I wore a matching hat and jersey. But a few years ago at Indy SX some guy wore his full get up. Thor PC Monster Kawasaki gear. Boots all the way up to his helmet. He had that on walking around in the pits giving hi-fives to younger kids. Thought it was really funny when he had to bum a smoke off somebody through the fence lol

Keep in mind also that Suzuki’s had not been raced by any major teams for years, so they would be starting from scratch with the bikes, whereas with other brands there were many shops building competitive motors and chassis for years at the top level of the sport. These teams can run 18:1 compression (just the tip of the iceberg) since they tear down their motors most every race. Their FedEx bill is more than most people make at their jobs in a year. Making the bike competitive ( with reliability) with these major teams with gigantic budgets is not an easy task, and it took a good portion of the year to get completely dialed in.

People are talking about results: You start a team in November knowing that between Pro Circuit, Geico, Star, TLD and Rockstar Husky that 20 top riders have been signed and practicing for months already. The MCSS Suzuki team was putting riders in the main every week, and doing a fantastic job with their pit presence. There were races when Baggett and Stewart were both out and their semi did not even attend the races. A strong pit presence is important for a manufacture if you have ever been to a Supercross. The team achieved that goal above and beyond anybody's expectation for a first year team. Anybody remember the "Blue Angels" bike schemes at San Diego. Of course you do. I might be biased, but I think the team had the best looking bike in the pits.

Jimmy is grateful for the year with MCSS, but in the end they failed on their commitment. The hardest work had been done and the goal being offered the "factory support" Suzuki team had been achieved. To go into the relationship with Suzuki as the factory supported effort without a title sponsor this late in the game would be a huge risk. It is an 18 hour a day job...7 days a week running a team...let alone training and riding. Jimmy has high standards and knows what it takes to run a team properly, and he proved it. Ask Cunningham or Osby, and anybody who has worked for Jimmy. I can say this....there is nobody that could have put together an effort of this caliber on the budget Jimmy had to work with. I would guess he will do it again someday in the future.....when he can do it right.

Jimmy will continue to work with all the other team sponsors (click on "sponsors") for 2017 , as he truly treasures those relationships, many of which are long term. American Suzuki has been "over the top" with their support, and he is truly excited to continue that relationship, as he feels he has found a “home” to finish out his racing career(no time soon). He loves the Suzuki RMZ450, and yes, you will see him at Anaheim back in the premier class.

It makes the engine destroy itself instead of helping the engine do what it was intended to do; efficiently get air & fuel into a cylinder and completely (or as close as you can get) convert the BTUs in the fuel into expanding gas, then get it all the hell outta there and do it again.

Its all about flow, cam grind and valve timing events. The smart guy knows how to get those three to dance the ballet of stoichiometric combustion.

And another note, can we please end the whole "3 teams in 3 years, must be Jimmy" I can assure it is not Jimmy or anyone in his camp. Jimmy and continued to deliver unmatched ROI on marketing dollar.

Motosport had gone through some serious changes (Jimmy was not the only one to loose sponsorship dollars), the Arma deal was destined to fail I things I've heard about the Arma owner are true, and Superstore had it's reasons for pulling out (be it wise or unwise for their business).
