As the title states just wondering what people think of the method below

Any better ideas its a nearly new pipe and the dent is not as severe as the pipe in the video?

Looks like a good way to do it. Put a tether on the head pipe plug and it'd look pretty safe.

That looked good. Compressed air with heat is going to get it closest to new....but there's a little explosion scare with that, and you better know what you're doing! Another way I've done it was I filled my 4 stroke header with water, past the dent, and stuck it in the freezer. The next day when I came back the small dents were gone. The problem with a 2 stroker is that it's too big to fit in most freezers...also I heard this technique works best for small, not large dents...and maybe the larger diameter of a 2 stroker would make a difference too.

Thanks for replies guys, its only a minor dent and its not creased but its still annoying me

Think im going to try the pressure washer trick just need to find a decent way to seal the header manifold side of the exhaust without welding anything to the exhaust like he did in the video

Radiator plugs, come in all different sizes. Have a nut that expands them in the outlet.

I installed a air valve in one ,or it came that way, cant recall.

That and a torch. I've drilled a hole opposite the dent and heated the metal and pushed them out.

It's easy to make plugs for the ends that are held on with bolts, no welding needed. Put an air valve on one of the plates, add in air around 60psi, it will get more pressure when it heats up, and just torch the dent evenly and it comes out. Most dents come out without issues and no damage to the pipe. Ive never had to drill a pipe.

Here's what happened when I filled my exhaust with water and froze it. The method worked pretty good despite splitting the weld
