When i got my first dirtbike at 8 years old and up until i was 19 it was all i thought about and really cared about. Then idk what happened. Sold my bike and pitbike and got out of it completely up until 3 years ago. I cant explain what was going through my mind in those 5+ years of no dirtbike. I didnt follow mx at all during this time either. When i got a bike again i instantly fell in love. This year i think ive ridden more than i ever have. Been riding every weekend sometimes twice a week if possible, and i feel im more passionate about riding now than my teenage days.

I plan to to ride until I physically can't do it anymore, and when that day comes I will add a couple wheels! Lol I lost some interest in moto for a few years when I got into cars and girls. But I am as interested in watching pro racing now as I ever was. Sucks that we can't seem to watch it live here in Canada! Makes it tougher to follow for sure!

Raced mx as a kid and absolutely loved it.Got to travel all over with my Dad and had just so much fun.Grew up ran out of cash and quit altogether for 25 years.Decided to try again before father time made it so I would never be able too. I'm having way more fun now because there is no disappointment just pure joy.But just like last time when the time comes again to stop I will still follow everything because it is just in my blood. I know its just riding a dirt bike, but it is just so cool and after all these tears I still think it is the greatest sport, activity, hobby ever.

I find myself thinking about these things a lot more often these days... Had a friend get killed on his bike a few years ago and having s young family I am starting to feel as though I am being selfish going out ( usually once a week) and leaving my wife and younger son at home. The eldest one has Ktm 50 so he comes with me too.
However, I am not sure If I did the right thing getting him into this sport which can be so cruel.. Unfortunately he loves it lol... But what else do u do? I have met my best friends in this sport and it keeps me out the pub as I am always out at weekend riding... I do think the sport teaches good discipline and I enjoy spending time with my son and teaching him about maintenance etc..

Could never quit riding! I take a break from the races waiting to get to the next old man class! I will always participate in some kind of off road riding... Woods riding is a lot of fun, slower speeds, no do or die jumps ect. I ride with guys in their 50"s& 60"s that still go very good in the woods...I"ve been to many Nationals, Supercross"s ect. I don"t care too much about watching anymore, it"s the riding I enjoy. Whenever I have trouble sleeping, I just put a recorded race on tv, sleeping in 5 mins!

I'm 31 (soon to be 32) and have lived and breathed motocross since I was like 12. When I was a teenager I got really bid into the FMX scene b/c my job at the grocery store wouldn't support racing and actually got to do that semi professionally from 17-18. Doing it for a job for that year took the fun out of it and after my obligations I quit riding for a couple of years to figure out what I really wanted to do with my life. I got into tattooing, got consumed by it and now work for myself out of my own studio. Once I had my life on track I started watching the outdoor nationals ago and got consumed right back into it and haven't really missed a race since. I don't ride hardly ever anymore but I'm still passionate about the sport and find I am even more into it being a fan than I ever was before. Don't get me wrong, I would love nothing more than to go out to a motocross track a few times a week and ride but family and business doesn't allow for that. I have been thinking getting into trials would be fun though!!

grew up riding with my dad when he could which wasnt very much. always would mess around in the yard though. bought my first pickup a week before i turned 16, and once i got my license i would load up and ride local every single day after school. kinda slowed a bit after i graduated and starting working full time, still rode just about every weekend. This January I picked up my first street bike, which took up all my time this year. I havent had my 450 out once this year which kinda bums me out. Its just so much easier to pull a bike out of the garage and go ride after work, than to have to load up and drive and such.

Still follow the sport but don't have a bike anymore. To expensive now a days. Still love to be competitive, turned to Ironman triathlons. Probably in better shape than when I raced moto.

I had a bike as a kid, but football, baseball etc trumped that according to my parents. Graduated college in 91 and picked up a used bike. I raced cc for a couple years then began mx. I rode and raced religously until 99 when first child came along. I took her to a bike shop in 06 and she fell in love with a crf 50. I bought it the next Friday and rode it around the yard all weekend. Come Wednesday, I had a crf 450 and have not looked back. I have a 12 yo son who races now and we stay busy.

Today, I returned to riding after breaking my back in six places along with four ribs. My son was the only mini at the track and we spent an entire practice session riding together. I was fantastic.

I will ride until I physically cannot do so any longer.

Since 06, I have been all in. Go to the Arlington SX each year. I follow the sport like an obsessed coyote chasing a rabbit.

Pretty much same story. First bike at 12, around 19 I stopped after spraining both ankles overshooting and flat landing a triple @ Milestone main (the one running along the fence where everyone parked, back in ~'09). Bike sat in my backyard for a couple years until it was stolen one night. I wasn't too broken up about it. Partying, college, girls, and trying to figure out how to be an adult took over. Got really into cycling/mtb at 19 and still am, raced collegiate, but after college working full time means I could no longer climb with the fast guys or keep my fitness... I was sad and depressed.

...Found motocross again a year ago randomly when a coworker mentioned he rides track. Now we ride track 3-4x/mos and I am obsessed on a whole new level. Technique books, suspension bible, keeping a maintenance schedule (only ever did air filter before!). Hell I might even pull the trigger on a 4arm strong! Laughing jk

Cool thing about leaving and coming back 6-7 years later is I get to watch Stewart and Villopoto reign for the first time and see Dung come up.

TL;DR - obsessed as a youth, injured, left for 6 years and didn't think about it at all. Now back with a passion!
