I never heard of this kid until he showed up at the Vurb Cup in Maine a couple weeks ago, and put on quite an impressive showing. I'm guessing this won't be the last we hear about him.

I saw him absolutely kill it at the Baja Brawl. Was very impressive.

I believe he has been training with Stroupe up at Lake Sugar Tree with Sick Recovery Racing. I think i read somewhere that he is set to go pro at the nationals next year.

Justin is the real deal. I know him well, great kid from a good family. We do some training together, road cycling & MTB . He always seems to be under the radar a bit but he's very talented & trains his ass off. 2015 LL he won all 6 of his motos in 2 stroke & college boy. This year he went down 1st moto in 250a. Came around the first turn in 3rd, slide out and got drilled by another rider while getting back up. Broken wrist, game over. IMO on good equipment he's a top 15 rider in the Nationals...We'll see come Hangtown.

Yeah..... I durfed it in my B moto and gladly took the lapping by him in the A class. It wasn't funny how much he put on my brother in Open A. I think it was nearly half a lap.

This was an awesome event, I will not miss it ever again if any way possible.

I'll tell you what though, next year I'll show up actually in shape with some practice under my belt. That was rough!

Kids got a lot of talent. He did a woods race with us at sugar tree back in April on bald tires, moto suspension and no handguards....still got like 4th overall. Rippaaaa

There's videos on the youtuve of him and Mcdade going back and forth. Cooper had some "innovative" low fly lines for sure.

I think is impressive that mcdade was able to basically come off the couch (doesn't train nor ride) and challenge this kid.

It's a testament to Mcdades incredible natural talent. After his first moto he remarked " I have enough money to get home, now I can relax and have fun."
Cooper is special: His riding style is incredibly smooth, precise. Very relaxed but deceptively fast.
Reminds me of Bayle back in the early 90's

The CRkid is responsible for the 2 Stroke Shootout. Without him it never would've happened. He begged, coierced , threatened etc for me run a 2 stroke only event. I said we'd need to run 4 strokes to break even. He totally flipped out on this, no 4 strokes allowed he said, would ruin the whole event. Just the facts
The CR kid is the George Washington of the Shootout. Thanks CR kid
