He has to be there as the past winner and also for Red Bull, no? What will he put together for that race? That should be the first time he will be lined up from his long absence. Will he try to defend it or is he done? I know it's only Straight Rhythm , but if JS7 doesn't come out to lay something hot down, then I think the old fire that made him so incredible may be gone. I hope he smokes them, but... I can't wait to see what will transpire..

On top of the blisters ( which I would think could be a possible career ender )....he had a child! I'm not sure if it was either him or his wife that actually brought that kid into the world.....but either way , sheeesh!! I don't think any other pro rider on earth has ever had a kid. I mean that has to be impossible right? No way could you possibly have a kid and then actually have time for your job...right? I mean if you did , I sure hope to hell that your sponsors keep paying you millions why you sit home and take care of that new baby.

Having blisters on the hands...AND having a baby? My god , the strength a person has to have to clear those enormous obstacles! Mind blowing!

Just keeping busy, all good.

It'll be interesting to see if James comes back at all. I think Jeff Ward might have had it right a few years ago when he said James has had too many concussions to still be racing. I hope I'm wrong, but I know adderall has often been prescribed for that. He may just not want to give it all up yet, it's tough when that's all that you've ever known.

I hear ya....but he has a choice. He has days when he's "on" and days when he's "off". And Ward could very well be right. You know Chip , I knew a hardcore James fan would chime in when I made those comments above. I didn't see you in the Jessy Nelson or Jason Anderson threads. Only when a James thread pops up....why is that? You have a bat phone there at home or something? Not to cause a shit storm here , but there are about 5 - 8 of you hardcore Bubba fans that consistently fall off the map here when James aint racing.I never understood that. I always tried to stay a fan of the sport and just not one particular rider.

BUT....besides all that bullshit. me too , been extremely busy! And I sincerely Mean it when I say I hope you're well! Visit the board more often damn it!

I posted yesterday in the Jessy Nelson thread.

I haven't fallen off the map since I started racing in 1976, so I don't plan on it anytime soon. I still read the board everyday, just don't usually have time lately to post or have conversations. Also, as with many old timers who barely post here anymore, I think there's just a bit too much disrespectful and cowardly comments towards riders that have accomplished so much more than us, and entertained us for many years. If that's what people need to do great, but finding more productive things to do is great also. Smile

Well i have to agree with you there. Lots of couch potatoes seem to know everything about training , riding , R8's and everything else in life better than anyone else. It does get tiresome.

True dat. A lessor man would have been strapped to a gurney with a morphine drip coming out of his arm.

Bubba could stop by any bike shop on the way there pick up any brand and podium.... Or he could crash out. That has been his problem for 10 years

Mandatory in any Stewart thread:

-talk about blisters like you're a hack comedian
-talk about having a baby
-?
-profit

That's a pretty good description of every thread. He's the definition of zero or hero.

Is James confirmed for anything yet? Monster Energy Cup or Straight Rhythm?

If James had a C-section delivery he'll be out much longer.
